I only wish I had time for that. But my step mom does have a thing for flowers, and she does a lot of potting AND square foot. My dad's also moving to a new house, so when I'm over there, I imagine there's going to be a lovely garden, aside from all the fruit trees and mint leaves.

I wouldn't really call it a garden, so much as several acres of bush land with a freeway next to it.

I have no time to take care of a garden, but I'm "growing" weeds .....does that count? They're edible, really, although I don't eat them.

My "backyard" is basically a slab of cement, I live in a townhouse.

My grandparents have one and they give us food from it sometimes. It's pretty cool to be able to eat things you grow instead of buying from a store if you ask me. Get a sense of earning and living with the land.

Hahaha I thought for a second there I read, "I have no time to take care of a garden, but I'm growing weed." I was just like:

In all seriousness yes I am growing a garden. Tomatoes, corn, squash, and some other plant I don't care about and am just letting them die off.

just make sure your soil has nutrients, ie fertilizer, and you water regularly, and the plants get plenty of sunshine

as for growing seasons, just follow general harvest moon timelines: turnips/potatoes in spring, corn and tomatoes in summer :p

My family lives in a small apartment block, and while we have a rather large garden, it's shared. There's one lady who has taken care of it for a very long time now, so no one wants to encroach on her territory, hahaha. That said, this year we took a very small space to grow some tomatoes... we'll see how that goes.

I'm trying to have bamboo take over my back yard, though I'm also growing roses, irises, morning glories, and squash. I'd like to grow peppers, but so far they're not happy here.

I'd like to have at least a window sill garden in my new apartment. Some cherry tomatoes, herbs, and shallots.
