Whats up everyone,

Just thought we'd brighten up your mid-season blues (if you ever had any) with the addition of DD Fist of the North Star!!
Episodes 1 & 2 will air tonight at 5pm with all future episodes launching at noon PDT.

DD Fist of the North Star will be available to premium users in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Free users in the following territories will be able to watch the series as well: US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, and South Africa.

Here's a little breakdown to whet your appetites:
"In the 21st century, the characters of Fist of the North Star are living in peaceful Japan. In particular, Kenshirō is a convenience store worker, Raoh works at a factory, and is wracked by illness, Toki is looking for work. The legend of the Fighting NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) North Star begins in the modern day."

Hope you all enjoy it!

This sounds completely goofy and dumb Keikawa.....

Can't wait to watch it! Though Raoh being the sickly one is a little bit of a turn... I wonder how it will be compared to the cannon story, what with the world not being destroyed and all.

Looks worth a quick laugh. I can't help but wonder if OP mistyped Raoh being the sickly one? Seeing as how Toki in the original was the one who was sick

Awesome. Added it to queue, and the availability for it is wonderful.

Obligatory "you wa shock" quote here.

hold up! POLAND?

That's something new.. I know that Poland has got the occasional Europe wide, but I don't recall it ever being included by name in the contract.

Nice, I did want to watch this series. Most accurate and true to the series depiction of Hokuto no Ken characters ever.

The regions have now been updated. I guess it might've been a mistake, since there were countries in which it would be available for free users but not for premium members.

cool. I will be sure to watch this. Fist of the North Star was insane, I am expecting this to be a bit milder.

It is curious that CR decided to list this on the lineup page as a catalog title, even though it is a currently airing series. Perhaps they are looking to cut off any, "This isn't a simulcast" complaints at the knees.

And yet both of the blank squares remain... Wonder why those haven't been updated, Spring 2013 season is almost over.

Oh fudge, it looks like it was special because it was a typo.

The premium members list I saw was worldwide outside Asia, just saying it by listing every single licensing region outside of Asia, so I didn't see any included in the free that was left out for the premium.

Sigh. Yeah, it would have been cool for Crunchyroll to have been able to open up new territories. Ah, well, like you say, at least its available to premium members Europe-wide.

Likely because they have a date set for when Crunchyroll can announce them. It wouldn't be all that surprising for that to be in the next few weeks ~ Crunchyroll has frequently had a couple of catalog titles in the last few weeks of a season.

If they are sublicenses from home video distributors, the date depends on when the distributor thinks is best for promoting their discs.

If that's what is happening, the fact that they would have had it signed up several months in advance would be good news ~ it would indicate a home video distributor that thinks its important to get the Crunchyroll stream lined up early.
