I want your thoughts on how and why the American goverment cant pass any laws but can vote to abolish Obamacare 37 times. Is it just me or do other people belive that the GOP is completly out of touch with Americans. It seems all the GOP wants is to make sure President Obama gets nothing done

Well that, and run roughshod all over the Establishment Clause of the Constitution, because certain Dominionists want to live in a dystopian theocracy, where Supply-Side Jesus rules over everyone.

Uh considering Obamacare was passed by a vote held in the middle of the night where most of the GOP wasn't even told it was happening maybe we should realize this isn't a one way street. Things being hard to approve, while to an extent, sucks, is also required for the government to be effective. Many issues do seem to be open and shut, but just as many are not and require real consideration. You do not want it to be too easy to pass a new law, trust me.

That said this is also on the wrong forum and I am moving it over to extended discussion. Have fun with it peeps.

This it a two way street it was the same way under Bush during his second term when the dems controlled both houses so your statement is way too narrow minded. Also being from Md which is probably in the top 3 most liberal states where even the dems dislike Obamacare care because issuance providers are raising everyone's premium 25 percent because the act allows so. Every piece of legislation has faults that need to be looked into and both parties represent who they want to represent, if you think one party can represent a united America your foolish.

in the state of california if you go to the insurance exchanges you are offered health care at a bargin rate. The states that want obamacare to work will work the states that dont want it to work it will fail. No legislation is perfect i agree but obamacare is law and the gop needs to quit stalking it. I also notice a lot of bold face lies coming out of prominent gop members mouths, Mitch McConnell said obamacare was going to raise student loans and make it so people cant get student loans. To me the gop seems like a bunch of fear mongers. By no means is the Dems perfect but they seem to have a better grasp on what needs done. Please keep posting your thoughts

Obama said “But what we will do is, we'll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN”
“I’ll go line by line through the health care bill.” The reality was Pelosi stating, "Let’s pass the HCR bill – so you can find out what’s in it”
Is that how Washington is supposed to work? Pass bills before they are even read? Can the GOP be blamed for that?

There is no difference between the two parties. To think otherwise is idiotic and plays right into the hands of the lot of them.

As an aside, are you aware that Washington DC has been gathering and reviewing phone records from ALL of Verizon’s U.S. customers, including all landline and all wireless accounts?

"Everyone should just calm down and understand this isn't anything that is brand new,'' said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

Yep, you sound just like him.

Obamacare has it's pros and cons, but I don't think it's fair to say only the GOP is screwed up. Obamacare was passed late at night with a majority of Americans being opposed to it, even now a majority are opposed to it. Each side fights their opponents when they don't have a majority, that's just part of the political process and honestly it's important for elected representatives to fight for the issues that their constituents care about. The GOP largely opposes what Obama wants to due because they differ in ideology, this is not a bad thing as far as politics go.
