I've had a fluffy black cat for 7 years now. He's been attached to me since hour 1, and casually stalks me through the house. He greets me when I wake up, when I get home, and when I go to the bathroom. While subdued over time, his pur is audible from several feet away; it used to be audible 20 feet away . He constantly pesters me with his affection in my room, so much so I have to lock him out to sleep (he's learning how to turn knobs though ). Nothing feels more comforting than hugging him in the morning.

Straight up: no.

They're just too proud for me. "Dogs have masters. Cats have staff" just doesn't sit well with me. xD

Its not that I don't like them. I'm not the kind of person who loves animals. Believe it or not I'm scared of dogs until now, I'm 14 years old turning to 15 this september.

I friggin love my cats, I grew up with being around them. Despite of having a bad personality, I can always bring out the good in them. Above is a picture of him that I took 2 years ago.

He is so cute! (I say that about a lot of cats but I mean it lol) What's his name? He looks like my first cat, Kiki (but she was a girl obviously)! And my personality is very sarcastic, dark humor, lazy, but I can be bright when someone or something (cats) bring it out of me

Cat are something that I've always admired watching. When i see a cat out on the street, I can't help but run after it.

My parents, on the other hand, won't let me keep a pet; I don't really know why, they don't give me a reason, they had pets when they were younger :(

Who else likes cats? Have you had any past experiences that you would like to share?

Please no inappropriate comments.

You parents are probably concerned about just how dedicated you would be in taking care of a pet, maybe they see something in your attitude that makes them unsure of you caring for a pet's needs, including scooping out the clumps of kitty litter or poo from the kitty box, or feeding the cat on time w/o complaining.

we have a cat and she's my mom's responsibility, unless mom is not home, then I have to do it. the only thing I hate doing is picking up barf from the cat. ewwyucky.

Cats are adorable, even the big ones which would eat you for dinner.

This is their secret weapon.

I love cats! I don't really like dogs, but some of them are okay.

Dogs to me are just annoying and they can be just as mean as any other animal. My own pet dog attacked me as a child for no reason. I was playing in the yard with my friend and we were running around playing and just being kids. All of a sudden my dog ran up and knocked me down and started biting me and whenever I tried to get away it'd just chase me and knock me down. I literally did nothing to the dog for her to do that.

Plus my dog is a bully. She's attacked two of my dogs (they're dead now from old age) and pretty much all my cats and nearly killed one for no reason. She left one of my dogs so scared that we had to lock her off the porch for my dog to eat or else she would attack the dog for the food even if she had her own. Now she's not so bad because she's getting older, but she still bothers are cats and barks all night long.

Dogs can be gross too, but I guess any animal can be. My friend has a really stupid dog and she'll go and eat all the cat poop and dog poop and chicken poop and then go and try and lick your face. I find that repulsive! True, cats can pee all over but if you litter box train them or have them fixed the problem should stop.

All my cats are litter box trained, and I never had a problem with them. We had an old cat once and she went to the bathroom on the bathroom floor a lot before she died, but it was only because she was very very sick. Before that, we NEVER had a problem with her. And she was the most loving cat ever! She was so loving to the point that it was annoying. Everytime she came in she'd run to me and jump up on my lap and purr automatically and start kneading and nuzzling my hand.

The reason I like cats more is because they're not as neady as dogs are. You don't have to bathe them or walk them or clean up after them as much as you would a dog. You practically only have to change the litterbox and make sure they have food. Other wise they're set. And I have four baby kittens right now and each of them are the sweetest things. They will come curl up in my lap and fall asleep, and watching them play is halarious!

I've never had a mean cat before, and I've never had a cat scratch me for no reason. Every time a cat has scratched me it was either because they were scared or it was an accident and they were playing. The kittens have scratched me before but they don't mean it. They're just playing around because they're babies.

And for the scared part, I was once taking a cat over to my house and my stupid dog ran up and scared the cat so it scratched me but I couldn't let it go or else the dog would get it. Dogs on the other hand have hurt me for no reason and they don't always behave.

I went to my sisters house the other day and she had four huge dogs that jumped all over me and ripped a hole in my pants from jumping up. My sister kept telling them to get down but they didn't listen and kept bothing me, knocking me over, and one of them kept biting my arm to the point I had to hit it in the face for it to leave me alone. I normally would NEVER hurt an animal, but the dog was following me everywhere in the house grabbing the back of my legs in its mouth and my arms and kept on biting me. I had long puffy red marks running all over my arms it look like I had just been mauled my something. I still have the marks and this happened a couple of days ago.

I find that really annoying and I guess I just can't put up with something so energetic. I never have a problem with a dog if they're not like that. I don't mind if maybe it comes up to me and sniffs me or somethign and then walks off, but that was way annoying. So that's why I prefer cats over dogs.

I can't stand to be around a hyper energy force field, therefore a cat's energy suits me fine.
