Id pick obese because when I get on a bus I'll sit on someones leg and act like its part of the seat and see how long it takes till they get pissed off
Coz I know how much it pisses me off

well I guess I would be classed as obese ( I weigh about 308lbs/22st) but I'd rather be how I am than anorexic as I am quite: physically fit, healthy, and strong. today I: cycled about 8 miles, ran about 2 miles, and walked about another 2 miles.

Obese is healthier as long as you don't hit old age with it. The opposite would kill in old age.

Obese is the obvious answer to anyone who thinks about the question. There are many factors that could play into someone being obese and they are resolvable provided their isn't an underlying eating disorder behind said obesity. Many obese people are obese simply from lack of motivation or general lifestyle, most obese people don't want to be obese they just don't have the drive to do something about it. Anorexia nervosa on the other hand isn't an actual state of being unhealthily skinny, but rather a mental eating disorder that causes one to make remaining sickly thin and to not eat as am obsessive priority.

A more balanced question would be either "Would you rather be obese or unhealthily skinny?" or "Would you rather have anorexia or have a compulsive eating disorder?" because they are comparing physical state to physical state or mental disorder to mental disorder.

Why can't you just be a healthy, normal weight? Wouldn't that make more sense than the extremes? What is it with Americans in choosing "one" or "the other", why can't they just be content choosing the "Happy medium"?

Here is a question for you. Do you think that Canadians and Americans are that much different from one another?

Well I don't see Canadians getting themselves $14 Trillion plus in debt to fight over a little bit of oil so... We also have better weather, beer and food. Our national sports are better too.

Anorexia. Comes with less social stigmatization. Plus, all the designer clothes fit.

I would be anorexic.

Sometimes it becomes bothersome that human's even have to eat, sleep, get tired.

I play basketball. When there's a time I lose a match, my first reaction is to pay them back hundred folds... on the next day. Adrenaline is there but the body can't keep up.
I have to prepare myself for the next match/meeting. I have to eat. I have to sleep. It becomes a bothersome that even breathing is bothersome. I just want to do things right now, but I have to take care my own welfare first.

I don't know if I'm making any sense.

Anorexia is a mental illness not an indicator of weight.

They're both terrible, but I'd pick anorexic, on the basis that it would be easier (biologically, at least) to get back to a normal weight.

I was anorexic from 7th til a freshman in college. No matter what I wouldn't gain weight. After that, I finally got help and now I gained a bit of weight. I'd still rather be anorexic than obese.

Question, did you purposefully try and keep yourself at a low weight (starve yourself or other means), or did you actually try to gain weight, but your metabolism (I'm assuming fast) kicked in and no matter how much you ate you barely gained anything?

Anorexic..... I'm dysmorphic, when I don't exercise enough, I get very testy; because I fear I'll gain weight. It'd be more difficult to get to a lower weight if I were fat, so I'd rather be anorexic, less severe life threatening health problems are associated with eating disorders; you have a much higher chance of a heart attack if you're obese.
