i remember something like this happening a couple of months ago when google broke EU laws.
^_^

"Aspects of US law under which companies can be compelled to provide information to US agencies potentially conflict with European data protection law, including the UK’s own data protection act."

guess obama wishes to push his luck with europe.

What would you want? Being spied on and it thwarting a plot that might end up killing a loved one? Or the govt. finding out you like porn and like to chatter and gossip on your tech devices about harmless bullcrap?
If you have such a concern, go back to the carrier pigeon days, and send messages that way.

They would blow that carrier pigeon up with the drones lol! KFP <Kentucky Fried Pigeon>

Why are some you here pissed? I'm pretty sure a lot of you either supported/voted for Robme or Obummer, believing in this Right vs Left BS? am I wrong? Obama is a politician, and make it worst the president, he had to become a liar, a murder, and a thief, just so he can fit the job description. Romney would have been no different. Liberals and Conservatives both supported this bill in congress back when uncle Bush was president. You know what's funny though? it's the fact that Liberals and Conservatives philosophically shouldn't support these kind of unconstitutional acts, but they do. Both parties act like communist when it suites their interests. The only difference between the two (and I have been saying it for a while now) is social and fiscal policies. Republicans believe in Fiscal freedom, but stop short of the social part (ex: gay marriage, legalized pot) Democrats believe in social freedom, but don't know what fiscal freedom is. Both of them believe in the same neocon foreign policy, of drones, puppet leaders, and death. Wake up people!

I voted for Brock <who didn't win> he was the only one worth it since he stated he would elect a Nurse Joy AND Officer Jenny in every town!!!
Jokes aside ALL politicians will lie to the voters to get a big ride on the taxpayers buck.

Eh? Who would have thought a bunch of spies are actually .... spying.
Next thing you know birds will be guilty of flying and fish of swimming....
Ain't it a kick in the head when it is YOU they are looking at instead of some other guy on the far side of the planet from you.
But take a deep breath, calm down and remember; NSA doesn't care at all about all that porn you have been collecting. They got the really good stuff already....

And when mankind found itself lacking an omnipotent eye in the heavens, voyeuristically watching its every shameful move, they invented one. A perverse act of wish fulfillment heretofore impossible before the invention of pinhole cameras and heuristic databasing. It was only then they felt truly free to strip naked and stroke themselves in the privacy of their own homes.

I don't see what's wrong with spying on OTHER countries myself. After all, it's ok for countries like Japan and China to spy on us, but we have to stand on some moral high ground? Pfft. Everybody is always trying to gain a leg up on each other. It's a basis of peacetime conflict resolution.

As for spying on Americans, well that's another story in my book. Just because I'm not hiding anything doesn't mean you can look at what you want. It's akin to someone walking up, grabbing your phone or laptop and just browsing what's on there.

I'm surprised that people are shocked, I bet that doesn't even scratch the surface of what goes on. there's a cool display in the science museum showing how many satellites are orbiting the earth, it's a phenomenal amount.

This is good there should be no privacy at all criminals are scum of this earth and if you do something wrong you should pay for it and if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to hide.

Yes it would be much better for the Phelps to know everything about you so they can picket your house all the time. Or for you're neighbors to find out about a belief you hold that they disagree with and decide to attack you because of it. The facts are that this will not cause any additional criminals to be caught. It will just be used to lock up people who were hurting no one, but someone decides they don't like. Hell at least here in the US most Anime is considerd child porn so by being on this site you should be declared a pedo and put in jail for life.

Awesome, Can you post your full legal name street address and credit card and SSN? There should be no privacy at all so you should have no issue posting that information on a public forum. Just because one has nothing to hide does not mean one should have their privacy invaded. Ben Franklin said "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.. I'd rather a thousand criminals go uncaught than one innocent man has his essential rights infringed upon.
