So I was wondering what your take was on the Xbox One or PS4 and which would you rather buy.

I wanted the 360 for some exclusives, a more comfortable controller and friends last year but my ex bought me a PS3 instead... Still wanted an xbox until sony did the first PS4 conference, so might as well wait for the new xbox. But just finishing watching the E3 PS4 conference, I'm most likely going with the PS4. Less restrictions, price and games. Maybe I'll pick up the xbox one later on and I also hope the PS4 controller is better than the dual shock 3.

The PS4! Sony always had the exclusives I wanted over the xbox to begin with.
I think this time around Microsoft dug their own grave, and Sony learned their lesson with the PS3.

Hoping for a better consoling gaming experience this time around.

Neither.. Wait six months after release. I got a Wii U, guess what I do with it? I dust it from time to time, and turn it on to run updates. That's it. But, guess what? I was one of the first to get it that morning in November.. So, yeahhhh. That does nothing. Wait and see.

After watching the E3 press events, I am definitely going to be getting a PS4. Hopefully I can con someone into getting me one for Christmas. XD

PS4, I can game offline when I want, lend games when I want (depends on publisher), and get free games for $50/yr. Plus, more reliable console.

^ I agree with you. I used to be all about getting it at the moment of release but you know what I had to show for it? Sending my xbox in three times for the red ring of death, hardly any memory storage, no way to connect the xbox to an internet source without buying a $50 wireless connector to attach to my gaming console, and a wait of two years for good games to ACTUALLY start coming out. The thing that pissed me off the most is I paid MORE for my 'just released' console than people paid a year later for a better version of the xbox 360 - with better storage, and with a wireless device built into it. It even had a ton of more GB of memory. So I've learned my lesson and will wait a year to choose which console to buy.

Although PS4 is looking like what I'm wanting. The Xbox was fine until I heard I had to connect it to an online device every 24 hours or else no gaming for me. OH! But I can still watch live tv and all that crap. Yeah, I want a gaming console that I can take somewhere without worrying about it locking down if there is no connection, and still play the crap outta games like in the good 'ole days. Microsoft, I officially am making you my enemy unless you change this. PS4 supporter! (Also the whole used game deal is irritating as well. What a bunch of wussys.)

I am going to enjoy my PS3, my japanese Wii with Taiko no Tatsujin, and my Wii U for the next year. Maybe I will also pick up a PS Vita as well. I am holding off on both the PS4 and XBox One for 6 months to a year.

I thought it was common sense not to run out and buy consoles on launch. I didn't get my PS3 till about 5 years later. It also helped that the PS2 had a massive library.
