have you ever noticed how an anime usualy goes half way through how much information the mange gives for example Reborn stops when byakuran is defeated but the mange still goes alot further and bleach stops when he defeats ginjo but the in the manga theres a whole new set of action.

Probably something to do with copyright laws.

I think in Reborn's case they had almost caught up to the manga at the time so they put it on hiatus. I hope they will continue the anime some day. ;_;

I would guess because of how much more effort goes into an anime over a manga.

An anime requires the voice actors (and the potential English actors for the dubbed versions), and I'd guess it to be much more difficult to put together a TV show as opposed to tossing text onto some pictures and making a manga series.

Simplistic view of manga I know, but you get the idea. That's my theory anyways.

I hope they'll stop making the Naruto Shippuden anime, because it's just awful compared to the manga.

Most anime have limited runs and they are usually green lit prior to the manga being completed. So you end up with a partial story and will only get the rest of the story in anime form if the show was popular enough to warrant another season and the manga has actually ended before the anime runs out of steam.

popularity of the anime... even if the manga is popular it doesn't cost as much to produce as anime does, so anime requires more money and if they're not getting enough viewers then they'll just run a season or two

My thought as to why, is that due to the episode restraints on anime they have to cut out those smaller details in order to fit the entire story.

In my experience, you can fit more in a volume of manga than you can in a 22-minute episode. I've found reading manga to take much less time than watching the anime based off it.

And then there's the whole thing about taking a manga series that's still running and adapting it to anime. The two choices you have are (a) run the anime up to a certain point in the manga, or (b) make an entirely new story arc. If the manga is still running, there's very little chance of any anime based off it to run to the manga's ending, simply because the ending doesn't exist yet. This is where anime stops or filler arcs are made.

... Also, I notice that a volume of manga takes at least a half-year to go from first chapter to complete, in terms of serialization. Sometimes it takes longer.

TL,DR: If the manga is still running when it gets its anime series, the ending doesn't exist yet.
