Chinese merchanidise, it really comes down to what you get. I try to avoid it and buy canadian made, otherwize I am just exporting more of our money. As for quality, there are specifically two types of quality. One is the foreign invested market. Usually pricer stuff where they maintain control of manufacturing, and the cost saving is entirely the gov't forced labour pools. Else, you have chinese knockoff stuff. That is always the garbage because it is entirely reverse engineered without any concept of it's design, as such, it works like trash.

Though people say stuff made in china is good, it really isn't even if name brand. Most people are getting to young to remember, but many companies had alot higher quality before they got into chinese merchanise. We forced it on ourselves in the end. Putting saving 20% over a doubled life span. It is alot of stuff. I can have two things virtually identical, and the made in china one always is just so much more inferior, and not really that much cheaper. But hey, people want to save a dime on the dollar.

Though I dislike the fact the vast majority of products purchased in the US are Chinese made, I will admit I have never had a problem with Chinese-made products.

Plenty of stuff. I have a cleaver that was passed down from my grandpa to my mom to me. I don't know how old it is, but it's been around for as long as I can remember, and probably a couple decades beyond that. I like it so much that I am going to order three more cleavers from the same company next month. All three of my carbon steel woks are from China, and they are the best you can buy. I really need to order another one. China does produce a lot of junk, but they also make some quality products that won't leave you disappointed.

I don't really care where my products come from as long as they work as they are supposed to, and last a decent amount of time (which, naturally, changes depending on the product). Although if we're talking in a general sense, I've been happy with a number of girls that came from China - does that count?

I guess most of my things are from China, Japan, and the U.S. unfortunately probably in that order.

Pretty much everything is made in China these days. 80 to 90% of everything I buy was made in China. So, I've encountered my far share of unsatisfactory Made in China products. Yet a lot of products Made in China are of exceptional quality. I only wished fewer products were made in China, so that my home country's (Canada's) manufacturing sector could be supported, too.
