What movies coming out (or have came out) are you excited to see/have seen for 2013?

Here are mine:
Man of Steel
Ironman
This Is The End
Fast & Furious 6
Catching Fire
Star Trek
Wolverine
Hangover 3
Warm Bodies
Kick-Ass 2
Anchorman 2

I'm sure I'm missing some.

Well my stand out favorite movies I have seen so far this year.... In no particular order...

Oblivion
The Great Gatsby
The Place Beyond The Pines

Coming up I am really looking forward to...

Man of Steel
Kick-Ass 2
The Wolverine
Catching Fire
and the one I want to see most for purely nerdy reasons... Pacific Rim

Oz The Great and Powerful, Iron Man 3, and Star Trek: Into Darkness weren't bad movies. They just weren't great either. Definitely worth a watch if you are into their respective genres though.

I never get out to see as many movies as I think I might like (even though there aren't ever very many that I think I will like), and lately CR has been sucking up all of my time that I might be sitting around watching something.

So I think the only 2013 movies I've seen have been Django Unchained and Upstream Colors.

I forgot that I was looking forward to seeing Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing because I'd heard about it so long ago and the forgot about it until a friend invited me to go see.

It was very, very good. Really every problem in it is due to Shakespeare's story. The comic bits with Benedict and Beatrice overhearing stuff, were very well choreographed and acted and hilarious! (and also very stage-like). Bringing those two characters even more to the forefront was a great move. Who really cares about Hero and Claudio's ridiculous love at first sight.

Also, not sure why he chose black and white, but it was gorgeous. Everything looked great. One of the things it did for me was help against any dissonance between contemporary setting and Shakespeare's language. The b/w made it feel more like a fictional world. (Not that I have a big problem with Shakespeare done that way--in fact I particularly like it. I love Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet. But now I am reminded that I've still got MacBeth (BBC contemporary setting, with Patrick Stewart) in some queue somewhere.

Iron Man 3 was pretty good onlything I didn't particularly like was Idk where the flame guys came from but ok lol.
I think Grown ups 2 will be big on the box office next week when it shows. I'm considering going to see it, because the first one was rather funny, and I like any movies that have Adam Sandler in them. He's practically one of my favorite actors.

Pacific Rim wasn't on my "must watch" list. It was more of a possibility, with the probability being that I'd forget about it or just not bother. But it came up in on conversation and on impulse I saw it. (That means I've seen 4 movies in theaters so far this year--well above what's usual for me.)

This is the End and Pacific Rim.
This is the End is probably the funniest movie I have seen this year and Pacific Rim was cheesy, plot hole filled, goodness. :)
