Any movies you've seen that received a standing ovation at the end?

The Lion King, The Avengers, WALL-E, Up and Ratatouille are soem that come to my mind in recent memory. have you ever seen a movie that had people cheering and clapping at the end of it?

No but I would find anyone who did actually clap at a movie to be very odd.

Nope, I cant say that I have. The movie theater I go to does this weird thing where everyone claps before the movie starts, though its not the same

Not at the end, but I remember most of the theater cheering when Morgan Freeman made his first appearance in Batman Begins.

I hated the fact people clapped at the end after watching "Miracle at St. Anna" by Spike Lee.
The veteran guy shot an innocent person to death and he got freed after his former acquaintance paid a humungous bail out.
Then, the film went pitch black and boldly shown Spike Lee's name in bold and center.

I was like what the fuck. They just devalued someone's else life.
It's like audience would cry if a protagonist is about to die or died; but, if it's a person from a background just died--no emotion or sympathy from audience whatsoever.

It's so unequal.

It's like it's not ok for Jack and Rose to die but it's ok for thousands of people in the ship to die.

blah.

High School Musical 3.

...Nah, I kid. I've never even seen anyone clap at a movie before, nevermind a full on standing ovation.
