...To be honest, at this point, I'm starting to...doubt it being there.

I've never been religious, but I've always thought there might be some sort of place that could be called heaven. But...

...Eh, never mind. I don't really know what I'm trying to say here.

I hope it exists, though. My great aunt passed away a couple of hours ago. I hope she's in a place like that now.

Heaven just as an idea I think is impossible, even for God. We feel happiness or sadness based on what our expectations of normal life is. It's why a very poor person can still be very happy while a rich person may be depressed. Whether we feel happy or sad depends on both what we're used to and the way the people around us are living. Therefore heaven could never work, we'd grow used to it and it would no longer be special to us, it would just be boring.

The Matrix briefly talks about this, saying that originally the machines created a perfect world for the humans to live in, but it didn't work because people wouldn't accept perfection. It is most likely because after a certain amount of time people would acclimate to it and with life staying exactly the same the whole time people would grow used to it. As I see it, the only way a heaven could work is if it simply had the maximum amount of happiness for the the minimum amount of suffering.

I think I'd like an afterlife like the one in Angel Beats, to be honest with you. ^_^''

Makes you wonder if there really is something more after death, y'know? And maybe you can choose what it's like!

If there is a heaven I'm hoping it is like earth except everyone is good looking. You dont have to eat/drink, but you can just to taste the food. Everyone has their dream house and family/friends.

Well in my religion you just stop reincarnating, dieing and birth cycle if you become baptized and live and follow all the laws of the religion properly and the bad people keep reincarnating.

If I died and heaven didn't have at least modern day technology, I'd think I was in hell.

As long as Anime is still known in this world called ''Heaven'' I don't mind.

I don't know what heaven will be like, but I am definitely looking forward to finding out! Considering it's just our soul that will reside in heaven, I'm pretty sure there won't be anime or unlimited pizza or anything like that, but I expect it to just be a feeling of euphoria and endless joy

When they prove there is a heaven or hell 100%, I'll go for it. For now I'll wait.

Thinking there is a heaven I think is a really selfish and careless thing to wish for. How could we as humans appreciate the life we are given here and now as a miracle in itself if you spend so much of your time thinking it means nothing in the end? When you hope for a better afterlife or even any type of afterlife, it is not possible to fully cherish and savor the short time you have on earth as humans.

It's like only wanting to finish a meal you don't like because you're told that's the only way you'll get your favorite dessert.

What if they lied and said they didn't have it only after you finished your meal?

You wasted a chance to really enjoy and appreciate what you have been given.
