It seems to me like you have been living under a rock for the past few hundred years. The days of the corrupt church are long gone, my man. If you still believe that the church practices slaughter and hate on other faiths, you really need to get your info straight because that doesn't happen anymore, and it hasn't happened for many decades. Even so, the church is run by humans, who are flawed as can be. You can't blame God or his teachings on a dysfunctional human institution.

But still, your response is the highest form of comprehension I could expect from a bigot like yourself. Get some facts next time, buddy. Otherwise you just look like a fool.
I find it interesting that you pass your greatest weakness off as, instead, my greatest weakness. I would implore you to reread what I posted previously as either: you didn't read it at all and simply skimmed a few keywords or, more likely, you have terrible reading comprehension.

But, for the last time Love, I will be more than polite.

You claim I should get the facts, well, perhaps a mere appraisal of the facts are indeed in order. (Given the number of offensives committed by the church, reference to any one must necessarily be rather summary). Off the top of my head, the Christianity is responsible for:
The first few are older, but the rest took place in the last 80 years. Indeed, it can be seen that the church still practices hate and slaughter. This is to be expected from the parties of god, who believe god is on their side. Morally normal people do wicked and disgusting things with divine permission.

Oh, my, my. Here we go again. Once again, you have proven what little skill you have in reading another person's opinion. I realize that hearing another point of view is excruciatingly difficult for you, but please, try to follow along with me, ok?

I never, ever, ever, ever said in my previous posts that I condone the previous sins of the church. I only said that they have changed recently. What I did say was that you can't blame God or his teachings on the follies of a human institution. Which is what you were doing, when you called Heaven false simply because the church taught about it.

Actually, the concept of the Sabbath being on Sunday was introduced by the Catholic church. Other Christians, such as the Seventh Day Adventists, believe that the Sabbath is the day it was before the Catholic church changed it, which is Saturday. So that statement about mowing the lawn on Sunday only applies if they observe the Sabbath on Sunday as Catholics tend to do.

PS - Not every Christian is some blood hungry monster. Stop stereotyping, if you'd be so kind.

I'm not entirely sure what Heaven will be like except for what's described in the Bible, but I'm hoping for miniskirt Mondays.

I don't think heaven exists.

I would like the afterlife if there was one to be where I can shape my own personal world to my will, though.

I guess it's better than rotting and having maggots munching at your decaying flesh.

Think of the atheists.

And baby you're all that I want when you're lying here in my arms. I'm finding it hard to believe, we're in heaven.

I want there to be a heaven, I want to believe that when I die, that I won't just disappear. It can be heaven, it can be reincarnation, it doesn't matter. I just want there to be something.

Do I believe heaven exists? No, not really, but I'd love it if it did

I don't think Heaven is as great as what people say it is. I am agnostic/atheist (most closely meaning that while the idea of a deity is definitely possible to me, I doubt it), and honestly if Heaven is what I'm being told it is, I would way rather just not go.

Just think about how friggin boring that would be. Everything is happy go perfect and there is no sadness or anger, no disappointments or failure, no hunger or illness.... I wouldn't value my own being after just a few weeks of that. Have that for eternity? That sounds hellish.

It makes me think about why I got so bored with Scribblenauts so fast and Zero Punctuation's Yahztee put it perfectly. You could snap your fingers and summon not just a grilled cheese but a woman made entirely of grilled cheese in an instant, but actually going through the effort to really make one tastes so much better because you had to work for it. The same is true of all aspects of life, if I don't work for my happiness and it's just given to me, then I'm not really happy, and I get just bored so quickly because I can't even value that happiness because I never have any other emotion.

Emotions are a two sided coin, without one the other ceases to exist. Think about why we like stories a lot, the best stories that we remember are fueled by the drama of us rooting for the hero to overcome obstacles, and/or working hard to achieve whatever goal they are setting out for.

I remember visiting my local book store and there was a book about a kid who was brought back to life after an accident who recounted his visit into "Heaven." It depicted things like lions just hanging out lazily with sheep and they just played all day, and nothing bad ever happened to anything, which sucks miserably because then outside of the initial shock factor of, "Oh, my dead mom is here!" nothing interesting ever happens. But according to the Bible and things like Dante's Divine Comedy, Hell is a shit hole too.

So I guess we are fucked either way. Personally, I'm hoping for reincarnation. As nerdy as it is, I think it would be pretty nice to when you die be absorbed into your own consciousness and you dream eternally. That sounds way more interesting. That could be happening now and we wouldn't even know it! :O

Alternatively, I think it would be cool if you became a pseudo-god in that dream and crafted whatever universe you "existed" in next. Just so that you could actually live out some of the fantasies in games and anime and whatnot. Nerdy? Yes, quite. Mind fuckingingly amazing? Hell, yes.

Heaven is a wonderful place.. Its nothing like here, there is One God in charge who is good and glorious. There is one King the Lord Jesus Christ. God has a perfect Government, a perfect hierarchy of Angels and soon we will fill ranks and a part of the Kingdom of Heaven as well. One day soon to come those who believe these words " For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. '

Will be forever changed with Body's that are indestructible and beautiful not made of flesh but of the spirit . We will become like the Angels and become baptized by fire. We will be able to run without being tired, fly, and have knowledge of everything even when the last leaf in autumn will fall. Those of us who are poor now will be rich with treasure of your wildest imagination in Heaven, A flaming sword, Jewels, adornments you cannot fathom. We will not be weak anymore, there will be no more temptation or suffering like you feel now. You will have the power to endure forever and ever. There will be one song and you will live in bliss and joy with the One True God and The Lord Jesus Christ who endure forever.

In heaven we would never be in need of light. The light would be within us.

There will be no sadness, because nothing is ever lost. All things are eternally present. In the face of the one who fashioned these things the very image of existence itself is given as a self-gift to us. We will know this being, because we will be like this being. We will have God's light for our own, who shares his very self to us. We will be satisfied fully, and never thirst. There will be no boredom because every channel has something wonderful.

There will be no wounds for these will be healed. Our bodies will be whole, and mature. Our minds will have no damage, nor will anything be hidden from us again. We will judge rightly with full knowledge, from the one who gives his very self to us.

Over all this we will know love. Love which eye has not seen, which ear has not heard. That which was beyond any grasp is ours. We will know ourselves as self-less, but have our identity whole and intact. We will be fully ourselves and fully alive because of the great desire that being has for us, to be, who we are.
