When I started using Crunchyroll it was amazing! Code Geass, Gundam Wing, Gundam 00 so many shows that I'd love to watch and show my friends that are new to anime. What's going on? The friend that showed me about Crunchyroll said it was free, he'd been watching awesome anime's on his phone for free. So I tried it out, it wasn't free anymore but I had no problem paying for the selection you guys had. Then it started going down, new anime seasons came around and you guys never missed the top anime of the season but you started losing other shows. Also why is there a bigger library of anime for mobile then there is for the PS3 and Xbox? I don't know the whole process and I'm definitely not gonna tell you guys how to do your job but I'd assume that it's easier to hose animes on a console then it is for a phone. I'm posting this because I'd like to see if anyone else has noticed these things or if it's just be. All and all Crunchyroll is great, I can't deny it, but what is happening to our shows and when will you host more shows on consoles?

It probably has to do with their licensing agreements . I'd imagine that most shows would only be allowed to air for a selected period of time that way you watch it and love it here, but if you want to see it again later then you need to buy the dvd/blueray

The licensing expires, e.g. Fairy tail was the most recent example I could think of.

You know when you want to rewatch an episode of TV show from your local TV? You go on the website for that channel right? And then they list episodes. Some episodes last for a month or 1 week.

It works the same way here I guess.

Code Geass has been lost to licensing hell in the United States. Not sure about your other complaints.

If you're seeing "a bigger library of anime for mobile than there is for the PS3 and Xbox", it is very likely you don't have "Show Mature Content" set in your Video Prefences. You may also need to set a birthdate in your profile.

Crunchyroll is still available for free on the same devices it always was (including iOS and Android), but it was never free on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Licenses are normally finite in duration. If a title is still generating sufficient views, and the publisher gives agreeable terms to CR, it can be renewed. But if the publisher simply doesn't wish to renew, or the terms they desire make it a losing proposition for CR, the title expires.

The Ancient One gave some awesome advice and made some great points there! But in addition to that I would point out many of the shows we had but lost agreements for such as Gundam were creations of Sunrise. Sunrise is financially invested and part owner of the newest anime streaming site "Daisuki" which launched recently. I imagine they want to use their shows to help bolster their sites popularity by making it the exclusive location to stream them.

That's what I would do anyway!

If you want to check out Daisuki you can find their website right here: https://www.daisuki.net/

That being said CR is waiiiii better for a number of reasons. First we got more shows! Second... our player is a bit more stable... Third we support more devices and formats than most of those other guys too!

So keep that in mind!
