I use Skype a lot and only for one person, my boyfriend *nod*

I used it on imo.im until they temporarily removed it. Once they re-add it, I'll be happy to start using it again.

Never used it. I've got a Vent/TS server and Steam as a backup if needed.

Yup. I use it to call my family in the Philippines and some places in the US (rarely though) and I also use it for video chatting or regular chatting with friends/significant other

I use Mumble more than Skype, less bandwith.

I've never used it, I easily get bored with conversation via chat or anything like skype.

Skype is very convenient if your low on cash, but still need a phone number and the ability to reach real numbers on the PSTN. It's also a great way to IM and video chat for free, so if you're not on it why not?

Of course....

This implies constant connectivity to the internet, but anyone on CR that's streaming in 1080p should have no issues at all yeah?

Only when I'm doing an interview with companies abroad other than that no.

For those that haven't heard the US government is randomly searching through skype with very vague warrants. Just thought I would mention it for those that enjoy having their privacy when talking to friends and family. I stopped using skype long before this happened though just due to its unsafe nature. Skype is far too vulnerable to various hacking methods such as IP resolves. I just stick with Ventrilo as my main communication program. As I am a gamer I have been using Ventrilo for 7 years or so now.
