heres a concept (or a very good photoshopped picture) Lancer hatch. just thought it was interesting since we were on the subject.

That concept lancer should already be starting in production or will. They already make Lancer and Evolution wagons I dont see why they wont with this body style.

I don't get the point of it, going to hatchback form on the imprezea was widely criticized, why they wanted to do it is beyond me.

It's all about marketing. No company want to lose consumers to their competitors.

Subaru want to make a rally machine that would finally win a Rally after all those years of there STi losing do to focusing mainly on aesthetics for consumer purchase. It wants to get back to the roots of what made it famous and desireable.

Also, for the hatchback, maybe cause the honda civic hatchback days are over and people still love hatchbacks but the honda fit are ugly, so next best option is the subie?

yes.. I know that, why else would you think Citroën and ford have been winning the wrc?

I'm talking about it being criticized by consumers, some love it, but most hate it.

and there are still civic hatchbacks...

wat

besides, America doesn't like hatchbacks anyway (the sedan version of the new impreza looks even more like a joke than the hatchback, srsly), those country that do have a shitload other hatchbacks to choose from.

what? I see ass loads of hmong kids driving civic hatchbacks and loving it.. and ruining it with rice such as supra tail lights.
ermm anyway Canadians and probably most Americans aren't liking the the new Mugen Civic. Its $6,000 more than the JDM version and its been detuned and produces less horsepower/torque. Not worth what you're paying for it.

no, majority of the consumer doesn't like hatchbacks, there are a minority few that does, like the assload of kids you referred to, but who will a company listen to most of the time?

I just posted that picture as an example

ahh.. yeah I hate hatchbacks, they don't really float my boat neither does FWD. I want a RWD car for the track and an AWD for winter/daily driver. I can't afford something like an Impreza right now but I saw a Nismo Edition Skyline R32 GT-R for $18,000 which i'm trying to get but my funds are low, im unemployed but my dad might loan me money cause I've had to take care of him for over a month due to him breaking his leg at work.

I just hope the dude doesn't sell it before I get the money/loan.. cause its so sexy
