you're totally right about the family share plan being awesome. if that was the case for ps+ that would be awesome for people who have more than one person playing on one xbone console. and yes, i knew about multiplayer going behind the pay wall in ps4. i actually said as much in my previous post. o: and i didn't hear about xbox live gold members getting triple A game titles for free like PS+, i'll have to look into that. just fyi, deus ex human revolution is free to download for ps+ members this month. infamous and other games were offered in previous months o:

and also, since the full 180, like you, i'm iffy about the integrated kinect.

For this month Gold users got Fable 3 and next month its Assassins Creed 2 and Halo 3.

I actually really like infamous the next one looks amazing. Never got the chance to play Deus Ex so i'll deff check that out, thanks btw!. I personally have no ties to any system atm. Xbox would have kept a lot of people if bungie didnt leave halo and halo 4 wasn't as much of a flop as it is. I'm personally waiting for Starwars battle front 3 and mirrors edge 2 : D ( comes out for both systems )

When they announced Battlefront 3 (and the fact it was being developed by frickin' DICE!!!) I had so much nostalgia rush through me. Then when they announced Kingdom Hearts 3 my puberty was sucked out of my body and then I became a kid again!

No but forreal, was the first Mirrors Edge good? Recommend getting it? I always wanted to try it but I was kinda afraid because the concept seemed crazy haha.

It still requires forced installs, costs $100 more, uses inferior GPU, devotes too much of its RAM to the OS, and the Kinect is always listening and must always be attached.

Pass. I think my PS4, Vita and PS+ will get by just fine. I may also pick up a Wii U when the games start coming.

The damage can't be undone M$hit. You saw the sales with the pre-orders. They probably wouldn't have changed their greedy minds if their sales weren't lacking from the PS4 pre-orders. Shows how much of a dirt-bag company they are.

So to remove all the DRM stuff it'll require a day one patch... therefore, they can patch it all back in on down the line if they want?

Uh...

Yes Battlefront is basically my favorite game, right next to kingdom hearts and pokemon. And im glad that KH3 is on the xbox one and ps4, basically either system is fine for games. But YES! it is worth it, trust me it really is. I personally don't play games over ( story wise, one reason I choose the xbox 360 over the ps3 ) but i've played that game over hundreds of times. IF I could give you money to buy it I would, thats how good it is lol. I'm pretty sure it got game of the year. I would also recommend bioshock if you havent picked it up yet.

Not sorry to say but my PS4 pre order is going to stay. Due to the sheer specs of the ps4. Its honestly on par with my new computer I just built and about $600 less. Granted the ps4 is dedicated to gaming. I just don't see how Microsoft can pull the x box platform with the specs being so inferior to the ps4. Let alone the fact of their hyping of a product that I am sure will fail to deliver. But I could be biased. Due to I bought one of the first 360 and guess what It failed, and Microsoft refused to live up to their warranty.

The Xbox One specs are the same as the PS4. The extra $100 comes from the Generation 2 Kinect with voice recognition.

I for one am happy microsoft have seen the light.

Yes it's shown us their true colours but the fact they did a 180 shows they saw their mistakes.
The only thing left to decide 100% for me is if the 360 will still work even if my account goes to x1. I'm hoping the account will treat them as 2 separate consoles, thus I can still login on 360 for old games while playing new games.

Ultimately though, Sony have won this round, regardless of Microsoft's current actions. They're going to have to do a hell lot more to regain the steam they lost, i.e. oddworld/remakes in hd/breath taking new ips.

considering that PS+ will give gamers 1 free PS4 game a month is a huge advantage over Live. that's honestly the tipping point for me. Not to mention that PS+ in this generation is leagues ahead of Xbox Live Gold. It's a bonus, rather than a requirement. Though, to be fair, multiplayer is going behind the paywall in PS4. However, programs like Netflix and Crunchyroll can still be accessed without having PS+.

Read this article for more reasons why PS+ is superior to Xbox Live Gold (at least in terms of this generation): http://www.noobfeed.com/blog_infos/view/3804

EDIT: Also, I own both consoles. 360 and PS3. and i honestly have had better bang for my buck with PS+ over Gold.

Not sure if you realized this but that was posted on "01 Feb 2013". PS+ will be required to play online games. And xbox has started to give out 2 free games a month as I stated before, both are doing the same things now. Though you are right about needing to be on live to watch netflix and crunchyroll, im not sure is ps+ is the same way. Also another thing xbox has it that when you purchase a new game you get 48-15 days free for xbox live just for purchasing. Family plan is also good because you're basically paying 5 for your whole family and that included on the xbox one, as they stated, as a family you can share games, which means only one person needs to purchase it o__o.

http://www.polygon.com/2013/6/19/4446308/xbox-one-family-sharing-plan-cloud-library-price-cut-plans
"Microsoft had also outlined a family sharing plan that would have allowed each user to share their library of Xbox One games with up to 10 family members. "

I'm still going with the playstation unless kinect issues are fixed.

Just so you know, now that the 24 hour check in is gone, so is the family share plan for games. It would be to easily exploitable since the system can stay offline permanently. Also, Microsoft said they are only giving free games until the Xbox One release, and not to mention those games are 5 to 6 years old, where as PS+ gives games that came out as little as 7 months ago, in the case of Sleeping Dogs. So there's that to.

^ but the games you get from xbox gold are your to keep forever, even if you no longer sub to gold. Whereas on PSN+ as soon as you stop paying for that sub you loose access to those "free" games.

Oh wow they're giving us 3 games that aren't even produced new anymore that can be bought for less than $10 each to keep forever. All hail Microsoft.

Microsoft showed their true colors to me. What is to stop them from slowly implementing their 'vision' down the road. $100 more too for a connect (refuse to type in some kiddy name like kinect) which I don't even want? No thanks, going ps4

Console war aside, its good that Microsoft changed their minds for the poor unsuspecting buyers that just buy their kid the next console in line without knowing much about it till its too late. When you try to force things on your loyal customers when there is another perfectly eligible product that is cheaper and doesn't force anything, isn't it obvious what's going to happen? I mean camon, unless the console has some exclusives that the customers absolutely wants or has the mentality that its xbox or nothing then... I dunno, they just made some bad decisions. Not worth thinking too much on it.

Uhhh, no they aren't. If you want the hard numbers showing the massive difference in TeraFlops, GPU power, RAM allocation, RAM type, GPU type, 50% difference in shaders, and the One's eSRAM yield problems, let's talk.

Hell, let's start easy. Explain to me how:

XB1 = 5GB 2133MHz DDR3 effective RAM (+3GB devoted only to OS)
PS4 = 7GB 5500MHz GDDR5 effective RAM (+1 GB devoted only to OS)

XB1 = 768 GPU cores
PS4 = 1,152 GPU cores

XB1 = 1.34 TFLOPS
PS4 = 1.84 TFLOPS

is the same.
