Personally I just think you come back as someone else, but that is my opinion. what are everyone else? but I really don't want this to become a religious topic, just the simple question to what happens after you die.

When a person dies, the brain fully stops functioning, i.e. neural activities stop therefore consciousness and memory will also disappear. The two main things that make up the person's identity completely disappear.

The soft organs (liver, heart, skin) will stop functioning and decomposition by microorganisms will begin because the immune system is no longer active.
Basic building blocks such as carbon, sulphur and phosphorous will be taken up by microorganisms and recycled in the Earth's biosphere.

Hard organs (bones) will remain on the Earth for thousands of years to come, even millions of years, if fossilisation takes place. Even in cremation, large bones will remain.

Reincarnation? I really don't know. We will never know until we actually do die.

On the other hand my Uncle flatlined when he nearly drowned in a river and he said he was inside a tornado of light and his dead family was there. (Could be brain still active and a kind of dream since only his heart stopped)

And my cousin claims she can full-on see ghosts as real people, they only appear when they want to be seen.

That's always been a burning question to me....why are we here, why do we exist? I like my uncle's way of thinking. He felt when we leave this dimension we go to another dimension and live that life and so on and so on. All of us reflect some form of continuous energy. I like some of the theories suggested on TV (The Medium, etc) about the afterlife but, being a shade bit skeptical, I don't totally accept it. Guess the answer will become apparent to each of us once we're gone.

What a question inquisitive one!
The science side of me says your consciousness turns off much like non-REM sleep where you do not dream. Your body will slowly and surely decompose due to your body functions not working, and if you are buried whole the elements will return to the earth after your body is devoured by maggots and bugs. Although these elements were from your body, when they re-enter the earth - all shred of humanity is gone, you have become part of the substrate ready to be recycled in the food chain - plants, the creatures that eat the plants, and the creatures that eat the creatures. In fact you may just rejoin humanity again, but you'll probably be in someones intestines. In the background south parks' poop song will be playing (you can't hear it though because you are already dead from a long time ago...) and a toilet will flush sending your former atoms back down the chain.

I'm not religious, but I do feel a bit existential at times. This part of me feels that the soul is part of a great force, perhaps magical in humanity's perception. This "force" is what I call the spark of life that one "thing" us humans will never be-able to explain. This spark is in all living things, and is probably fractal in nature. Its inherent nature is to reproduce itself over and over. When you pass this life force leaves the vessel and goes back to the source - Humans are always longing - longing for life, longing to be somewhere else, always wanting. This is the nature of the life force and the reason why we just don't shoot ourselves as soon as we know how to operate a gun. But... There is a longing for death too - You know the little destructive things you do (smoke, drink, drugs, fast cars etc..). Like skiing off a cliff - I heard people say if I don't feel like I'm dying I'm not living. Exactly. This is the longing of your life force to return home. Sounds a bit crazy - but check out some Freud for more thoughts on this - the constant struggle between Eros and Thanatos within each human.
