I'm immortal until proven otherwise.

Everyone and everything was put on this earth for my own personal amusement.

Other than the bullshit I just sprang, I don't really believe in life after death, you just cease to exist, though if you believe in the laws of the universe then everything in the universe is connected at a molecular level, so nothing truly dies, it just loses its current awareness. You could argue that a persons consciousness or self awareness is what truly makes them alive anyway.

It is frightening just to think about it. No one has an absolute answer.

You will know what happens when you die just like everyone else.

Cessation of breathing, cardiac arrest, reduction of body temperature, loss of pallor, settling of the blood, stiffening of the limbs and then a slow, smelly, decomposition.

I don't mention the permanent loss of conciousness, because I believe within our lifetime, that it could be possible to transfer the contents of one's brain into a computer designed to emulate the way our minds function. Of course, learning new things and applying them to who we are, the same as before, will be tricky, but saving the foundation of who were are is theoretically possible within our lifetime(based on the average age of CR users).

When I die, I become parts to help others, improve medicine by training students to operate on my parts so they can do it better on those still alive, or improve science through research on what went wrong with my parts.

I think all that will make the world a better place, so anything else after that will be icing on the cake.

What happens after you die depends on your definition of 'you'. Who can even define what this 'you' is? Some people might say it's just conscious awareness, but that can go away without death, for example when one is comatose.

I still have to research it more before I come up with my own concrete opinion, but I believe that life is a cycle. Just like our thoughts and day to day activities are a cycle, so is the course of our life. It would make sense if on a grand scale, our entire life is like a single day, that ends when we go to sleep, and then begins again once we wake up. The difference is that when we sleep and wake up, we feel like the same person.

I think death is like lighting two separate candles with the same flame. Are the flames identical? Are they different? When one goes out, the other can still survive.

I think it's similar to a dream. When you're in a dream, everything feels real... But you don't feel like yourself, because once you wake up you can distinguish between reality and the dream. So death might be like that, where we're different, but not completely different.. Our consciousness doesn't carry over, but our energy and volition does..

When you die, your family seels your junk at an estate sale, the funeral home gets another job to do, the hospitals get to charge insurance companies for organ transplant surgeries, florists sell flower arrangements, people buy the newspaper with your obituary, they buy new clothes to wear to your funeral, and if you are famous then the media talks about how great you were in order to get more viewers or readers.

Basically, your death helps everyone else to make a little more money.

Right?

Coming from an Agnostic perspective, I don't know outside of the physical body decomposing. I agree with nadogggg about figuring out what is really "you". What makes you you and the other person, them? Does your conciseness live on after death? You'll find out when you die I guess. I've always found the idea of multiple dimensions intriguing and started thinking at one point of, what if death is like simply opening a door into a new world and life.

You pass through the "Gate" and become material/power for the Alchemist's on the other side.
I'm totally cool with that btw!
