Today, I had a dream about friends from my past and when I woke up it made me horribly depressed; I still am hours later. There was nothing really in the dream that I would consider upsetting, so it made it even weirder.

Has something like this happened to anyone else? If so can you tell your story?

It does keep a thought in the back of my mind. However it doesn't affect my mood for the whole day unless its food I can't eat .

I sometimes have dreams that I was cheating on my boyfriend, and it honestly makes me feel guilty for the rest of the day even though I have 0% desire to ever cheat on him.

I think we dream about whatever bothers or we want the most. I dream all the time my boyfriends cheats on me cause that's the number one thing I worry about the most -.- I also had this one dream where i was playing hide-and-seek with every horror character you can think of. Which was quite peculiar seeing how they never found me in my dreams lmao

Not for the rest of the day. Short term though, yeah sure. Nothing is worse than waking up from a nightmare and not being able to shake that feeling of dread.

This thread seems way too coincidental.

I had a dream, like not even a couple of hours ago, where I ruined or caused major problems in some of my friends lives. I apparently defaulted on loans, rent, etc. and left them with the burden of having to pay off millions. Also "borrowed" very important stuff (personal and/or emotional?) and never returned it for years.

It was horrible. Everything that I stand against. The shame of not being able to look a close friend in the face. I honestly have no idea why I had that nightmare. It is really shocking.

Not going to ruin my day but it was just so weird and I'll probably wonder where it came from for a little while.

Not really. But sometimes when I have some weird dream I usually think about and say "wtf was that"

Yeah, recently I've been having dreams of my bf playing around with other women. It kinda makes me feel insecure about my relationship. Especially since I'm finding condoms in my dryer and handprints on the back of my car...

When I was 16/17 years old, I've had this complete life goals/dreams. I've always imagined myself with someone I love, to watch the stars with, dine with, travel around the world with, go to Japan with...

But at 22/23 (this was the time I finished university), I've realised that finding love isn't as easy as I thought it was, there were so many factors that affect it, luck being one of them.
Not wanting to depend on luck, I've decided to re-imagine my life and rearrange my goals, I completely took the other person out of my goals, I've imagined myself doing things alone, going to Japan alone, watching the stars alone.

Doing this took a heavy toll on my mental state, but because I busy myself with things, I didn't think about it while awake.

However, in my dreams where I can't control my thoughts, these things were a common occurrence in my dreams. I would dream of a life where I was completely happy with lots of friends and love. Then I would wake up crying because my reality was a complete opposite. I've dreamed about this about 10 times in 2012.

Now at 24, I no longer have such dreams, because I've come to terms with my life-changing decision...

In conclusion: Dreams are your best therapists

I have had bad dreams and woke up so mad. I remember having a bad dream about a girl who was my gf at the time and when I woke up I was so frustrated with her. I calmed down after a couple minutes but it was really trippy.

Not really, because I've never been able to remember my dreams once I wake up.

Better watch out, someone you love might do this to you. Make sure to throw them out at the first instance.

True story. Thank God, I naturally don't trust anyone.
