Today, I had a dream about friends from my past and when I woke up it made me horribly depressed; I still am hours later. There was nothing really in the dream that I would consider upsetting, so it made it even weirder.

Has something like this happened to anyone else? If so can you tell your story?

You always post some of the most interesting discussion topics.

And to answer your question, yes. Except it wasn't just for the rest of the day, it was permanent. I was having a lot of conflict with someone, and I unfortunately wasn't able to properly resolve it with them. I had a dream that we had resolved it, and for some reason that was all I needed. Never felt stressed about the situation after that.

Yes, like right now I think that the sun is making me delusional about my dream of the Incubus.

I'm very fascinated by dreams, so much that have very good memory of majority of them throughout my life. I also write them down in a short story format. If I have a very intense dream I will play it over and over in my head all day and sometimes for days, evaluate it in my head and try to interpret the things that happen in the dream and why. I feel like our dreams are reflections of our own personal emotions and our brain is projecting these emotions through our dreams using images we may or may not understand. I've found this to be true atleast for me over time. If you feel like you know yourself well enough and practice this, you may be able to connect the dots and decipher your dreams almost like it's own language into something you can understand. This sometimes helps me confirm and reassure some of the feelings I have. Everyone should keep keep an open mind, think outside the box and give this a try.

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what my dreams mean, til this day there are a few that leave me baffled but I believe they all mean something and we just have to dig deep and really think outside the box. You should read my reply above where I explain a little more.

yeah definitely.
I get a lot of dreams of one of my dogs dying, i'd wake up from crying.... and obviously feel crap the rest of the day.
Also had a dream where somehow i was the cause of my dad's legs being cut up in 30ish pieces and i felt pretty sick that day too.

on a happier note, I once dreamt of the perfect set of abs and hipbones which made my week.

I had a dream and when I woke up I didn't really know what happened but I remembered how my friend betrayed me in my dream so I was so mad at her when I woke up and for the rest of the day.

yes many many times
i tend to have annoying dreams about my boyfriend doing things i would hate or that would hurt me and they seem so real
just things im afraid could happen
when i wake up my mood is the worst. it's so hard to make myself understand it didnt actually happen and probably wont ever
i punched him once for a dream i had lmao, i was half asleep
then theres weird dreams that make you think of people in a different way, see them differently, you know?
and those make me space out for hours, they are rare but strong when i have them

Usually when I have dream where I die I feel lost and not alert or when I dream of my boyfriend not loving me or cheating on me I begin feeling gloomy.

Every time I remember a dream I feel energetic, mainly because all my dreams are WTF dreams even the bad ones. The dream I had last night was a bad one but I remember that I saw somewhere in my dream my dog floated in the sky for no apparent reason, I couldn't help but laugh.
