A lot of close-minded people here, you judge even when you're claiming to not judge, also seriously the original poster has tourette syndrome but called it turrets? Seems suspicious.

On a personal note I knew a 'person' with tourette's. She was a complete bitch, she lied, cheated, and always let everybody down. As for her disability though and tourette's in general, well first of all it was none of my business, I had no reason to judge, secondly it wasn't annoying or made me feel uncomfortable. I've seen mild ticks and twitches to verbal abuse and physical violence from tourette's but again, why judge if the person can't help it?

Don't worry TC. I've never met anyone with Turret's Syndrome, but if I do, I'll make sure to be extra careful.

Just kidding. I joke, I joke!! But in all seriousness, I think of people with Tourette's the same way I think of people with Down's Syndrome, of which I do know a few people. I myself was born with Asberger's which is hard as hell to control. I think of them as just any other ordinary human beings, and am generally anything but mean. If anything, I have sympathy for those types of people.

It's hard to make fun of people with Tourette's or any other diagnosis, illness, or life problem. Because if I do it to them, they have just as much a right to do it to me. And I'm just not able to make fun of people. You go dude!! I view them as models, people I can look up to. They have life challenges, albeit different than mine, but regardless they still struggle more than the average human beings, and I respect the willpower and courage that takes. I look up to guys like you. Keep living life, man!

MikeyMike, you sick bastard. I posted my comment a minute later than yours, and your face pops up when I scroll up. Dammmmmmnnniiiiiittt!!!!!! Why is that picture so popular?!!!

We should hang out sometimes! So you can meet a real life TS dude! >:D I'm pretty fun to get along actually.
Lol.

...I'm in Louisana. On the upside, I do plan on moving to Cali for a college choice. If I go through with it, I'll be in USC for a four year in video game design and programming. Dunno if you looked at my location, but Santa Destroy is a location in Suda 51's No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2. I definitely recommend it to anyone thinking the Wii is a kid's console. That and MadWorld with shatter that mindset completely.

Online chat would be perfectly fine though, if that's okay with you.

Online chat sounds great! Also do you have any type of Social Network where we can chat? Like Skype Ect?

Yeah, mine does anyways, the one near me holds like, anime night sometimes, and there's pretty popular trading card games, like Weiss Schwartz, I've become friends with the owner so occasionally he'll put on an event and invite all the regulars/friends. It's a really good place to chill. Out of the maybe 20 people I've met and really liked there, I've met maybe 2 I wasn't very fond of. I'm not sure how "active" your store will be, but's it's worth a shot at least =)

There was a fella in front of me in line at the store the other day who obviously had a bad case of Tourettes, I say bad cause he kept flailing his head and arms every few minutes and making guttural growling and screeching noises. So I went my ass to another (longer) line to avoid him. I felt like the folks with him were staring daggers at me, I guess cause I wasn't exactly discreet about getting the hell away from him. He was probably a good person over all, I don't doubt it for a second. But it is what it is, why get mad at me for not wanting to subject myself to such a display, and why would they want to subject him, to scrutiny and cruelty from the public at large? Just because he can't control it? Cause it's a condition? So what? I'm supposed to listen to foul language and maybe even get spit on a little? But it's okay, why, cause he was "special." I hate that PC word, "special." There's nothing "special" about someone with a condition. "Handicapped" works just fine.

Eh, just read this over again and realized how piggish it sounds. I've nothing against folks who have such conditions, everyone needs love and attention. Just don't come over to me and scream "CUNT FUCK POOPIE ASSBURGERS!" all up in my face, I will get annoyed.

I really think of it like an allergy. But a friend of mine wouldn't be the same without TS. She refers to it as a unique quirk of her's. People may see her tick and make fun of her for it, but she laughs along with it.

I had a friend in High School who had tourettes, he would sit at his desk and when he ticked he would put his hands on the desk and scratch the paper or desk, but his dad had it worse and would tick hard, kinda throw his head to the side and stutter, but seem to be able to control it in church, or at his freemason meetings. I got aspergers too, and at first it was hard for me to control it but I've started to overcome it, there's still a lot of things that's really hard for me to do, like call someone I don't know or talk oon the phone period, it's also hard for me to talk to someone, it's been really hard for me to look into someone's eyes, but I've started to overcome that.

My brother has Tourette Syndrome and Asperger's Syndrome. My bro's smart and I get pissed when people mock him for his tourettes or being "slow" because of his aspergers. I get along with him better than anyone, so
