Either leaving for Work, School, or just going out somewhere, anytime I watch a show I like before heading out the door it makes it that much harder to want to leave. You want more but you have to go. I could watch it when I get back but sometimes I would come back late and not be in the mood to watch it then. It's so depressing

Ugh...I know the feeling...sometimes I wish I didn't have a social life period.

And then there's those moments when you're thinking about the show the whole time you're away driving yourself crazy!

I know the feeling so I mostly try to avoid doing that. Works best if it's something like the latest episode of a simulcast--if there's no new episode to go to, there's no problem.

But sometimes it happens precisely because something has become a favorite to the extent that one is marathoning it during every spare minute. At least in that case, once I do manage to break away to go to work or some other obligation, I'm usually more than ready to settle back down with it right when I get back.

Have I ever called in late, or slightly rescheduled plans because I'm in the middle of watching a show I like and "Don't wanna stop now!"?

Uh, that would be yes (but I'm pretty responsible and dependable so it doesn't happen often.)

That's awesome lol. I'm salary so I don't have a set clock in or out time, but usually it's expected that we're in around 8 or 8:30. But I've fallen victim to marathoning at night and getting to work late, 9, 9:30, that sort of thing.

I figure one of these days I'll pay for it, but another guy on my team comes in later than I do, so I'll probably continue my bad habits.

Yes, I've been a victim of that nearly every day of my high school life.

In Australia, there was this show called "Cheez TV" and they would show anime from 7:00AM to 8:30AM. Sometimes they showed Pokemon from 7AM, or from 8 to 8:30. That's when there was a conflict between the showtimes and my school starting time (8:45). It took 15 minutes to walk from home to school.

It was fine for a while, until 2 years into my high school life, the government decided to build this huge gate all around high schools everywhere (almost like a prison), so instead of being able to walk through the back, I had to walk all the way around to the front which took 20 minutes instead of 15.
So I became late most of the times.

There was this teacher who made fun of my tardiness, he would play a guessing game with the class about how late I will be. But he was nice to me though, he never asked me to get a late note from the nasty ladies at the front office.

The common protocol was, if you're late to class, you have to get the late note from the front office, if late 3 times, 1 hour of detention after school.
That punishment never seemed to get through to me...

That's why I like watching at night after any other plans are over with and when there's no chance of stuff coming up. Just stay up as late as I want, uninterrupted. Haven't been late or skipped anything...yet

I have been guilty of staying up late to finish watching or catch up on series, but I am not a morning person, so my problem lies in the fact that I get up as late as possible to still make it to work on time (make-up and hair be damned). Of course, the later I stay up, the later I want to stay in bed so I end up 10-15 mins late for work...
My boss hasn't said anything yet - probably because I stay almost 30 mins later on a regular basis but it still isn't an acceptable habit, I know.
