I have a few questions I hope some one can answer. Maybe we can get enough people together to get crunchy roll to fix some of these things.

1) Where is the HD?

Most phones have more than enough power, and most have had at least 720p for quite some time with the new standard being 1080p. I personally have a better experience side loading flash player going to crunchyroll.com and watching anime in 1080 then I do in the app which makes me wonder why it even exists.

2) Where did the tablet Interface go?

It wasn't the best but it was actually quite nice. Forcing portrait mode only is fine on a phone but that just doesn't fly on a 10 inch tablet. Especially if you have a tablet like the asus transformer with the keyboard attached. Was there even any consideration of what we want, or was it just removed because you felt like it.

3)Who's even making the app? Do they even check these forums to see what problems people are having or what we would like to see added/changed? Should I even bother posting this? It would be nice to get some kind of communication going between crunchyroll and their app's users. So we don't have things like the tablet interface being remove when at the very least most people I"ve talked to actually liked it and are disappointed with its absence in the new versions. Not to mention the lack of any kind of landscape mode what so ever while in the menu's. Maybe we could just have some polls where people could vote for what they want. Or a sticky thread explaining why essential things like HD, and landscape view(in the menu not in videos) aren't there. Whether it be a legitimate reason not to have it or just that your still working on it. It would be comforting to know your trying to fix things.

I for one would love to see at least the interface get fixed. I don't have a Roku and connect my tablet to my TV through HDMI. I feel like I need to visit a chiropractor after browsing the CR menu like that. It can't be a difficult fix and I have friends who have been nagging CR support about it for the past year.

1. We're working on bringing HD to the device.

2. We're working on improving the app, will pass that suggestion to the engineers.

3. We just hired a new Android Engineer. Tough to make / update an app when you don't have a specialist.

Bjaker: Are these same plans going to be implemented for GoogleTV as well?

Android powered, so yes! Again, no solid dates on anything, just know we're working on it.

Thanks for the info. I probably find out the same amount of, if not more, CR info from you than the site news section of the forums!

Did we claim anywhere that it would be in HD?
If yes, please point it out to me.

Just so you know.... specifically it is low res because of the fact that it is on Android. The screen is only so big and the difference between a 720p and a 1080p picture on a screen that is like normally 5 inches long or less in all honesty isn't very huge. The technological advantage of streaming it at lower resolution is just common sense. It takes less data for users, so it streams faster, still looks good, can work well in areas that aren't 4g or better, and also eats less into a users possibly limited data plan.
