Oh hoho, have I a story for you...

First off, my original PlayStation (the boxy grey model) stopped reading discs after a number of years. I think it was because all the little black attachments on the central spinny thing broke off. We had to go get a PSone - fortunately it was pretty cheap and we managed to acquire a copy of FFIX in the process.

Second, my original GameCube broke. We were playing it during a thunderstorm and our house got zapped, and afterward it wouldn't stay on forever - it would last 45 minutes or so before shutting off, and you'd need to let it rest because trying to use it again gave it diminishing returns on how long you could play it. Again, managed to get a replacement.

Last, my original PS3 broke. It was a cool MGS4 special edition Gunmetal Grey one, too. I stuck Prince of Persia 08 in there, installed the data, and got through about half of the tutorial, and then... puff. No worky-worky. First time I used the thing. In hindsight maybe it's not so bad - the one I have now has 3x the dataspace the MGS4 one did - but still, it rankles the thing broke on me after I tried using it once.

I only owned 1 PS3, and that HD went bad/wouldn't boot. I also had 15 Xbox 360s, and 9 had the RROD.

My friend just had his Xbox One's disc drive stop working.

I've broken multiple DS's and DS Lites.

In my defense, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team was my first rogue-like. I had to throw something against the wall. Also broke one playing Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky. It took me a while to get good at rogue-likes, and PMD games are beginners in the genre.

We've had to get our PS3 fixed before. The thing stopped reading discs. Since my warranty on it had expired we found a site online to fix it cheaper than Sony would have. It was gone for a month, and when we got it back the power button didn't "click." Very annoying, but whatever. We didn't want to go another month without it so we just live with it.

In all the consoles i've owned over the years (which is every one from like 93 onwards) I have only had one X-box 360 go bad. Unfortunately I had to sell my entire collection of games and consoles to afford some medical bills, so all I have no is just one console and that is the XBox1 I got for Christmas from family.

Finally, someone else who likes the Mystery Dungeon games!

Those games don't get NEARLY enough attention!

I got a gameboy color for my 7th birthday. I played the heck out of that thing, even after I got the Gameboy Advance just because I liked the shape and weight. It was familiar.

New consoles came out (and I got all of them of course) but I found myself going back to the Color. As the years passed it started to show the wear and tear of love. The stickers I'd put on (and the one nintendo did on the battery case) peeled and faded, scratches appeared all over the casing (but never on the screen) and after 10 years with that thing the speakers died. That Gameboy saw me through most of my education and all of the nightmares that come bundled with it, and countless AA batteries later, the console itself failed. I don't know what went wrong, but it waited until after I went to college and my life improved drastically to finally give up. It has a shrine at home.

tl;dr Nintendo is my guardian angel.

I actually love the PMD series more than the main series right now. I'm addicted to roguelikes now, something I didn't predict back in 06 when I first got Blue and Red.

And those are the first games I would like to be released on the VC when Nintendo does start throwing DS titles on there.

I have a PS2 that is extremely picky on what games it wants to play.

Other than that, there was my first PS3 that decided to go on a blue screen on Christmas Eve. Luckily for me it was still on warranty and it barely took two weeks before I had it back working.

I have a lot of a broken controllers though. I have no idea why that is so.
