So many violent people here. I can't judge though, my boyfriend literally punched his PS3 and broke it.

The worst I've had happen was when I was playing my DS Lite and spun in my chair, and the top half of the system hit the desk just enough to crack the hinge. It worked fine until about last year when the top screen started going white from the hinge crack. Damn DS Lites and their shoddy ass hinges.

My original Xbox just stopped working. It wouldn't read discs. I was pretty pissed off because that's all I had at the time. But when I met my boyfriend he took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, and now it works perfectly. Guess it was just dusty.

However, my controller could not be salvaged.... I played Dead or Alive a lot when I was kid, so I was pretty tough on my controller. After a while, buttons began breaking. The right trigger would actually get stuck. So, my boyfriend took that apart too. Well, the whole thing just crumbled. The trigger was actually barely connected to the controller anymore. I had an off-brand controller too. It was blue and much bigger than an Xbox controller and the white and black buttons (you know, when those existed...) were in a more comfortable spot. I was sad to see it go, but recently found a replacement on ebay. It's in pretty good condition and I won't let anyone touch it. Lesson learned, I really need to get a gamepad so I won't kill my controller playing DOA. My d-pad on my 360 controller isn't in the best shape. Left doesn't like to work sometimes, so I can't backdash.

I had about 3 playstations when I was younger. Why? Because they kept breaking.

My first generation PS2 stopped working awhile ago. Fixed it twice and then I even bought a slim when it broke the third time. But regardless of all the hardships it put me through, it was a good machine!

7-8 360s broke on me, mostly red ring, l loved GameStop extended warranty until they decided to not offer it anymore because the original 360 broke so easily I've had the 360 slim since it came out and knock on wood it's working great

My ps3 first generation lasted 6 years but now is dead, hard drive issue, but never played it much to begin with

Not being the richest fellow, I had a used PSP from eBay. It was quite annoying, however, because the door to the disk was loose, I had to fix it with some tape, but that Eject disk/get out of game message would show up especially if I were playing vigorously, like a fighting game of some sort. And, of course, that led to losing data. I got through over half a game, but didn't save it, the screen showed up, I pressed the buttons too fast and it exited the game, losing all the data I just spent hours on!
But, one day I had it on the top of this sofa I had, and I turned around and knocked it onto the floor. It broke. Then I tried to fix it, but I just made it worse. It still came on, but it didn't play any games that had to go in the game cartridge. After trying to fix it, the screen had a bunch of lines on it, too.

Our original PlayStation busted. I don't remember how. My bro's PS2 bit the dust and he got a new one. I think he was on his second PS3, too, before he got the PS4.

Maybe it's just something about PlayStations. My Nintendo consoles never broke.

Or it could just be my brother.

Red Ring of Death, twice.

I've had my Nes, Super Nintendo, and N64 for decades and they still haven't broken on me. Not including having to blow on the games 50 times before they work of course.

Had all my Nintendo DS lite break when I was playing Zelda or KH 358/2. My Xbox 360 broke somehow right after I spent a whole day passing Naruto UNS 2, had to send it back to the company an get it fixed but it deleted all my memory!! Even my Final Fantasy 13 data ( which took me FOREVER to pass !)
