Currently reading Der letzte Film des Abraham Tenenbaum by Christoph Marzi which, again, has no English translation I'm aware of.
Next on the list are Odd Apocalypse by Dean Koontz and the books of the Humble Book Bundle: SF & Fantasy by Angry Robot Books

Just finished Lost Lore, a fantasy anthology edited by (I think) Mark Lawrence. It's all short stories set in existing worlds created by the various authors. Most of them were kind of meh. I also just read a delightful Afrofuturist short story "Mother of Invention" by Nnedi Okorafor. You can read it for free here: https://slate.com/technology/2018/02/mother-of-invention-a-new-short-story-by-nnedi-okorafor.html.

And I just started Jade City by Fonda Lee which is off to a promising start!

i'm trying to read a book a month this year because i have so many unfinished books on my shelf it isn't funny. January i finished A Newfoundlander in Canada and loved it, February i FINALLY [and i mean after years of picking it up, putting it down] finished In Cold Blood [and i'm currently looking for a bottomless pit to throw it in] for March i'm reading my Witches Companion 2018, don't know yet for April but it's either a book i've half finished or the 3 Dexter books my brother in law bought me 4 years ago.

May is actually a themed month the 'how many manga can i read in one month' month, because last year i had on 3 different occasions a friend knock on my door with a giant box and go 'hey, you read manga, right? i found this box downstairs. you want it?' and i now own so many manga i have it stacked on my living room floor. i'm hoping to read it and sell what i don't want. this will probably wind up being mostly all of it because apparently a time traveler robbed a 16 year old girl in 2005 and brought back the compete series of Black Bird, Chobits, Ceres, Othello, Fruits Basket, Marmalade Boy, Imadoki Nowadays, Beauty Pop, Me and My Brothers, The Wallflower, D.N.Angel, a bunch of one shots and first editions, as well as a bunch of Yaoi. [which side note, let me know if you want any of it when i'm done lol, i was going to take it to my local geek shop and try to get 5$ per book, but i might also go to Kijiji] i am a little upset this time traveler from 2005 didn't also grab the compete series of Nana because omg i don't have the money to buy that, the anime or manga series.

The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty. Been enjoy a lot of horror film of late, and so I wanted to branch out into other mediums. Was a pretty fun read, mostly along the lines of the film. A bit harsher in content, as there's fewer restrictions. A couple extra sideplots and characters to round things out as well.

Last book I read was "The Furthest Station" by Ben Aaronovitch. Short, expensive, felt like a script for a graphic novel that was rejected for being too long. I liked the Peter Grant series initially, but it's gone all graphic novel and references to those in the main novels. I'd say Sell Out, but a man's got to eat.

Currently reading The Midnight Line, latest Jack Reacher by Lee Child. Love the books, this one is going very well. Interesting mystery plot.
