The combined immature stupidity and self-important smugness of the users of this forum will expand and bring about the heat death of the known universe. Hopefully starting with the Jesus freaks first!

This made me lol! Jesus freaks annoy me as well and some of the people on here (for example the person right above your post) are both stupid (he can't even spell) and very immature (he assumes he is correct and isn't likely open to debate).

Except this is as clearly stated, a talk about the death of the universe. The Earth likely won't even be around when this happens so it is irrelevant. We are just having a debate about which ways we think the universe will end, not the world.

Seeing as the universe is expanding through observations of light from other galaxies and stars (redshift - meaning light waves are traveling longer distances through space turning from blue - shorter to red - longer). If there are multi-verses then the distance between each universe - under the impression that our universe is growing or expanding - will some millenia collide abruptly causing a possible "big bang" to happen and then regression starts and growth begins once more........just a thought

Only two people (myself included) seem to know anything about physics in this thread. Good job, Dark Phoenix.

This world will end when I'm dead and for you this world will end when you're dead. That's the only truth and fact we know, everything else is speculation and as such, I don't feel like wasting my time and energy.

The universe is too massive and incomprehensible to end in any way that doesn't involve God or some kind of divine intervention.

However, I believe that humanity and earth will certainly end, unless we expand into space soon. Otherwise, if we aren't strong and united, we will likely get squashed by an alien empire that IS strong and united. Or we could die from a powerful plague or maybe the sun's supernova.

Ok I think I explain this once before so I do not feel like repeating it for this thread, so short version.

Universe is Expanding, after some time long after earth sees to exist, the universe will start to reseed / shrink . Once all the matter has gather in a small point the heat and pressure build up from it will create what is known as a BIG BANG, this lead to a new Universe being created from the old one, this has happen before evidence can be found by glancing at the Super giant Black Hole found in the center of are universe.

This is also known as the big bounce theory, and it is what most as in 98% the scientist at this time agree on.

actually i dont think either of you really does
that theory is dependent on the hypothesis of dark matter as well as the shape of the universe and several other ideas.
theres also evidence that the universe is expanding at an increasing speed which kills that theory pretty much dead.

seems to me that people here really dont understand physics but just like to regurgitate things theyve heard others say
