Omg! It's pretty unbelievable what people will do to keep their power. Even with humanity on the brink of extinction, they want to be in control still.

And the whole thing with titans eating human titans is really interesting. I wouldn't have ever guessed that, but it makes a lot of sense. My prediction is that Eren will get in a fight with the human titan that's in the castle.

Also I hope to dear god that Levi fucks up the guy with the guns. I despise people like him.

It's not that I want anything in particular; I just feel the story has lost it's balance and focus; it's like Annie Leonhart just took it with her. The beastly titan was introduced then immediately removed from the plot. The showdown with the colossal titan and armored titan was rushed into the plot, then prolonged like crazy. There's very little time-jumping in the plot anymore (which was one of the elements that made the title unique) outside of the Historia flashbacks. And there are entire chapters devoted to conversations in the kitchen and at the dinner table.

The title looks like another victim of unexpected and exceeding popularity, where the demand simply does not allow for a tight storyline. It feels like the author is just trying to meet deadlines rather than lining out a plot adequately. It's a shame, because it was a good unique title.

What the heck are you even talking about? I am a bit confused here.
I don't know what you want, but this series was never an action series to begin with. It has always been more about the world building and the plot developments happening around the characters (like it is now.) There is a lot for the series to cover when it comes to the endless list of mysteries that are involved. It is GOOD to get through some of them now, like they are. Also, conversation and dialogue are pretty damn important in this series. So, I just think you are jumping the gun here... :/

I totally agree. I believe SnK has set everything up perfectly. There's never a dull moment and even the times when there's a lot of dialog, it's still awesome because everything they're talking about is extremely important. I love watching Hanji trying to figure out everything. Her ability to piece everything together with barely any leads is impressive, I thoroughly enjoy seeing what she has to say. She has to be my favorite favorite character in the whole series.

But ya, I think Orga777 is really overlooking this.... like a lot.

lol Why does it seem like most people don't have the patience nor attention span for a series to setup anything anymore...? If it's not "press a button get your reward," or constant pointless combat, then a series is deemed bad by those short attention spanned readers/viewers. Seems like people need to read normal books more... oh wait, most books similarly take their time with the story and dialogue too; guess most literature is bad too because it doesn't instantly tell you the story in less than one sentence.

Sure they could have gone with constant pointless shock value over and over again, but no story can really develop out of that tactic. Shock value is just to get one hooked long enough to have them keep reading for the actual story.

The author has done perfectly fine with the story and the characters so far, while the characters are not "omg perfect; all hail the god of character creation," they aren't that bad either. Then again haters gonna hate.

The Ackermans are very mysterious. Probably the two most mysterious people with the surname Ackerman is Mikasa's parents. They're names were never mention in both manga and anime. I do hope we learn more about Mama and Papa Ackerman along with Kenny and Rivaille. Mama Ackerman is full Japanese and the last of her people until she died. Papa Ackerman is nothing like Kenny and Rivaille in strength or maybe he was until he became a father. I wonder if Kenny is Rivaille's father and if that is true then who is his mom. I'll just wait until the next two chapters to learn more. Though this won 't change the fact that The Ackermans are mysterious.

Well, I mean how else can you explain anyone with the last name of Ackerman having bullshit overpoweredness? Overpoweredness ain't even a word dammit!

Plus, I refuse to believe Mikasa is the only Asian (excuse me, half Asian) left.

Thank you. Finally found someone I can agree with far as Mikasa NOT being full Asian.

I don't know about Mikasa's dad, but I think it's possible that her mom carries the Ackerman last name. The guy wasn't able to defend himself at all when those thugs stabbed him. At least her mom got ready to fight. I have a second idea that the last name is given to certain people who show potential to become strong I guess. I always wondered why Grisha went to give Mikasa medical visits too. But it's just a small thought. I also have doubt Kenny is Levi's dad. It was that "special chapter- lance corporal Levi" in chapter 10 that shows what seems likely to be Levi's parents. His dad doesn't really look like Kenny but I'm no expert to analyze faces so I don't know.

I don't think Mikasa's dad being unable to defend himself after being stabbed in the gut disqualifies him from being an Ackerman. Her mom was able to resist because she had time to react, whereas her husband didn't. We don't even know if they were ever married in the first place, now that I think about it. I assume they are, but you never know unless stated otherwise.

Just because Papa Ackerman wasn't able to fight those killers off does not mean hes' not meant to be an Ackerman. Mama Ackerman is Japanese(Asian) not European. I really don't know why Grisha wanted to give Mikasa some medicine. Papa Ackerman probably was like Rivaille and Kenny at one point in his young life but or not. Far as Kenny and Rivaille with the same surname, we'll never know what their true relationship is until next two-three chapters. The same goes for Mikasa as well.

We'll learn everything we can know about the Ackermans later on in the manga.

We barely know anything about them. They were just there to pretty much die just like Mama(Carla) Jaeger. Only difference is Mama Jaeger has a name and so does Papa Jaeger unlike Mama and Papa Ackerman. We know a litttle more about Eren's mother and father then we'll ever fully know about Mikasa's mother and father. As I stated before "The Ackermans are a mystery".
