Yes. Even though I wish my favorite ones were longer.
I went to watch Bleach a few months ago...I saw the number of episodes and totally flipped out and just ended up only watching the first episode.

weird. I believe most anime have too little episodes. most are only one season or two arcs/two seasons = 10 or 14 episodes - 20-28 episodes.

Agreed. I would have been satisfied with the ending of the first season.

Bleach sucks. It's the Aquaman of anime. Aquaman sucks.

I don't mind if an anime has lot's of episodes, just as long as the pacing is good and story is consistent.

And no fillers or at least not filler arcs.

100 is the cap for me. There are two major exceptions: Inuyasha and Ranma 1/2. The former gets a 7 out of 10, and the latter a 6. In other words, never a favorite.

I think fifty is the absolute limit for me. Any more I usually get bored with it. (With Bleach I lasted 100+ episodes)

Given that most series seasons are based on 13 episodes.

The first 13 shows are character buildup shows. Basically start up and - what ! its over syndrome, I want more....

The second 13 shows expand the relationships and drop in the - Did I miss something - wow that's great, I want more....

The third 13 shows let the characters to grow up or mature - Time to make life choice decisions and it was good, Wow....

The fourth 13 shows - the money has been coming in and we have merchandise to sell, will the fans let us sleep already....

After the fourth - what more do you have to say - oh a special hidden ability suddenly happens, right, they will buy that right...
I bet the writers at this point want to remove the chains keeping them at their desks.

Summary - go for 3 seasons, 4 if you really have something, then its time to turn the lights off and get some sleep and begin a new story tomorrow.

I really depends. 25-50 seems to be a pretty solid number. When you get higher than that, you end up getting a lot of pretty bad episodes / filler

Let's see... Pokemon is on its 16th season and seems to have at least 783 episodes! When will it end... when will Ash or whoever it is now, catch them all, and be the greatest Pokemon master! XD

I love Bleach and don't find it's main story to be too long but it has entirely too much filler and even worse filler that interrupts the main story. Knowing that other long runners also suffer from that are what make it hard to get into equally long/longer shows like Naruto and One Piece even though I want to check them out. Eventually though I do want to find out what the filler seasons are ahead of time so I can skip them and just enjoy the show.

For me any anime that ends where the manga/source material ends is the perfect length for that particular anime. When the show ends I want to know that the story has ended as well.

Have to laugh at the fact it took six pages of this topic before Dragon Ball was mentioned, first show I saw that turned canon into filler.
