Yes, yes they are. I, for one, see no particular value in most topics limited to one sex. Anyone else want to crash this thread and name their favorite gun-using heroes?

I'm partial to Psycho Pass's Shinya Kougami (though Inspector Akane Tsunemori is defintely awesome in her own conflicted way)

No one is stopping others from making a "favorite gun using hero"

people just do not make it

But what's the value in having two separate threads? What's the rationale for creating a thread in the first place that specifies one sex to the exclusion of another? I know it's common here to have the separate threads, but it irks me a little whenever I see it.

Also the way I see it your female so favorite "female" probably doesn't appeal to you as it does us.

Cal - Phantom: Requiem For The Phantom

Ein - Phantom: Requiem For The Phantom

Canaan & Alphard - Canaan

If anyone hasn't seen either of these shows, I HIGHLY recommend them. Phantom is wonderfully dark, especially the first 2/3, with some great animation. While Canaan has some of the best choreographed and cinematic gun battles in the industry.

Truly this is a shallow answer...

I am a straight guy. There is no merit for me posting/making threads "that" does not appeal to me in the most basic primal terms.

However, the issue of having separate sex threads goes back in the day. I want to say, the foundation Crunchyroll forums was built upon having multiple threads (of any kind). This inflated the user activity and this notion just "sort of" carried on till now.

As an example, there used to be different color hair threads for each color.
