Trigun should be done again going along the line of Trigun Maximum.

I second Gantz.

And I always want more Boogiepop.

Fruits Basket.

Even though the anime was good, if you were to compare the anime to the first 6 volumes of the manga (the manga has 23 volumes but the anime mainly covered volumes 1-6) you'll realize that they left out, added in, and changed a LOT of things. Including: Story development, character development, relationship development, characters personalities, and who characters really were. I won't go into spoilers, but by the end of the anime the had messed so much stuff up that it would be almost impossible to make a second season without doing something different than the manga. They messed it up so much that some people believe that Natsuki Takaya (the author) didn't like the ending and won't allow a second season. If the anime had covered the manga properly then it probably would of had the chance to have a second season, but since it's been 12 years since the anime originally came out in Japan (summer of 2001) I sincerely doubt that it would get a second season which is another reason why it should be remade.

I could go on forever but I'm stopping myself, in the end the anime is still a good series to watch. One minute you'll be laughing and then the next you'll be drowning in an ocean of your own tears. As a reviewer I watched once said "It's a good series with a great characters but has a plot that in the end didn't really resolve anything. But if you look at it's source material it could have been a great series with great characters and an AMAZING plot!".

Saw someone post about Claymore, I have to agree with that. The ending didn't do it justice. I could tell that just by watching it, and I wasn't even one of those that had read the manga.

I was the same way, watched Fate/Zero first and loved it and then went to Fate/Stay Night and was disappointed. I didn't even finish Fate/Stay Night.

Black Butler.

No, like... that manga. Is amazing. The anime is pretty dumb compared to the manga. It deserves a second chance. There's so much more going on with that series than what made it into the anime before.

Claymore had some good episodes, but there are some systemic flaws with the manga that make it really troubling to adapt. The story itself and the lore about to the world is bland as fuck and the characters themselves are rarely any better. The grunt-level youma are also just as badly designed, and the manga only really survives at all by making up cool fights with awakened beings (which has been going on non-stop for a couple months now).

There were a couple episodes of Claymore I really did like, but in general they don't have much to work with.

Fate/stay night the visual novel is very good but the anime is very bad so I wish they could reboot it because of how good fate/zero turned out but the ending was bad because it was an ending that continued in fate/stay night which sucked so I hope that will be fixed

I agree. I watched Fate/Zero first and thought it was great, so I went back to watch Fate/Stay Night and was disappointed to say the least (people die when they are killed.....classic horrible line).

This is why most people played the visual novel instead. Studio DEEN didn't exactly do great with the Unlimited Blade Works route either. If a studio like ufotable picked up FSN and did each of the routes then you'd get an anime WAAAAAY better than Fate/Zero. UBW and Heaven's Feel take the cake.
But yeah, remake FSN. Would make a great season 2 to Fate/Zero

Also Gantz. I'm not going to lie and say Gantz is some well written masterpiece, but when I want to watch blood, gore and titties, I want them in HD dammit. And preferably, I would hope it wouldn't be animated by Gonzo again.

I haven't read the manga but I know its popular and I tried watching the anime for it. The art style and angels are just so weird it would give me headaches so I had to stop watching it. I would love to give it a second go if it was redone a bit smoother and in HD

I'd like to see claymore, though that's probably never going to happen since I heard the anime was far better than the manga, even with it's continuation after the anime.

The one I'd greatly enjoy would be ouran. It deserves an anime re do in all it's comical glory. I did not enjoy what I've seen of the live action version. I might try rewatching it, though I would prefer a new anime! Especially the final chapters!

I'd also like to see Alien9 redone, another long shot, but it had so much potential not to mention they could've concluded the story after where the manga ended.

I do not deny I'd also like to see a ocean dub revival. Either ocean dub's original audio for dbz or a whole new take on it with key people returning aka dale wilson for Cell, Don Brown for Hercule. This will probably never happen but at least I got to see dbz with both actors, they fit the characters perfectly!

I'd also like to see several classic/older animes redone, just so that I can watch them. Aka Urusei Yatsura and others. I just think they deserve a better dub and a chance of being HD/higher quality.

I want another Fate/Stay Night. Preferably by the same group who did Fate/Zero. The old Fate/Stay Night was shit, but it was shit that stemmed from a lot of good ideas that could have been done extremely well and ended up failing miserably.

I also want 5 Centimeters Per Second to be redone. They completely skipped the last part of the light novel, and they cut part 3 in half. They might not have to redo the first two parts, but leaving us with an unfinished story is ridiculous.

Also Gantz. I'm not going to lie and say Gantz is some well written masterpiece, but when I want to watch blood, gore and titties, I want them in HD dammit. And preferably, I would hope it wouldn't be animated by Gonzo again.

You do realize that 5 Centimeters Per Second was originally an animated film that was adapted into a two novel versions and a manga? So, really, the novel versions and the manga expanded on the movie. It was never an unfinished story, just added to. Personally, I'd rather have it redone with the manga version because I liked that version the most, but that's just me.

As for the other two: Fate/Stay Night wasn't that bad of an adaptation, but it could have been better than what it is. The manga version is a good example of how they should have done it. I also wouldn't compare Fate/Zero with Fate/Stay Night because that'd be unfair (for multiple reasons).

Gantz - yes high definition would be very nice. I'd give Gonzo another shot at it, but Madhouse would be my second choice. I wonder how they'd deal with the pacing if they redid it...

Well said. I'd almost forgotten how long it's been since that anime was released.

Along the same lines: I also wouldn't mind a new Speed Grapher. I really like that character designer (see: Fire Emblem: Awakening), and HD would do him proud.

What anime do you guys think needs another shot at amazing everyone.

Blue Exorcist.
Maybe G.T.O
Same with Cardcaptor Sakura but we recently heard something might happen with that series.
And I know you are interested in Boku no Pico to be reanimated Tashfinz

Just to clarify, by "fail" you mean deviated? You seem to be confusing the two.

Fullmetal 2003 didn't go on its own trail because of some freak accident, they did it that way on purpose, and to be honest I found FMA 2003 to be wholly more comprehensible than Brotherhood. The 2003 series boasts a much more effective audience connection, it's way more emotionally charged & powerful, some of their detailed changes to certain historical elements of a few characters were brilliant, and despite its lack of faithfulness to the manga I felt FMA 2003 was absolutely superior to brotherhood as an anime.

Brotherhood wasn't a "second shot". It was a pity endeavor because manga reader QQ.

I could write a whole thread on the reasons why. Maybe I will.
