Make should accentuate your appearance and should look natural in this time period. It will change again just give it time. Then again stop listening to the ultra feminist they tend to be very negative people an try to tell people how they should think an feel.

I don't see Make Up as something bad.
A Clown without Make Up would not be as funny so thats cool.
Women who feel ugly without hiding there face under paint and powders well thats cool too it doesn't really make a difference but hey as long as they feel better why not.

But in the end a Ferrari stays a Ferrari no matter the paint job and a dented old (insert name of ugly car here) stays exactly that no matter how much paint you put on it.

well i think most girls look better without make-up i think wearing to much make-up can ruin your face after doing it for so long, a tattoo is different then makeup, it's more permanent and it wont wear your skin out like i wear out my rags after working on my car, that's just my opinion, i'm not saying it's bad to wear make-up, i just think natural is better
although i guess you could use the same argument about a tattoo.

but when me ish was in college me kinda used it all the time. now, i work a lot and i see the same ppl everyday. So, i figured...Who am i looking pretty for? i sit at my desk all day long and stare at a computer...me computer don't care how me look.

yes, i know, i sometimes go outside meeting clients, eat lunch or a smoke break. so there is only 3 things i keep in me purse...only use it when i really need to look a little bit groomed or professional.

1. lipstick (Natural color) nothing that screams "You wearing Lipstick!"
2. Mascara
3. Eye Shadows/liners.

thats IT!!!

but if you trying to get the attention of boys....then Beat the crap out of one of em...that will scream "ATTENTION!" HEHEHE

Because sometime girls put too much make-up on that one can't help but think their superficial and fake. Make-ups are fine, it can boost self-esteem and self-worth. But make-up can also hide many things. You won't know what's behind a girl's thick make-up unless you remove it.

Is makeup viewed negatively? I wasn't aware. Most people I know are perfectly happy with the choice to look better than they do naturally. We put on clothes, hair products, accessories, etc. because we have the opportunity to look good by doing so. The world is a much better place to look at as a result, and I don't see any reason for everyone to simply deal with the level of physical attractiveness they were given when they have the option to exceed it. Thus, I welcome make-up.

I realize that "natural is better than artificial" is practically an axiom at this point, but people use plumbing, housing, tools, etc. because what occurs naturally is not optimal. The reason we make artificial things is (usually) because the natural things don't cut it. Make-up, clothes, accessories, or whatever are there to improve life, and I don't see any reason why people shouldn't use them. I can understand a health argument, but all things considered, technology can eliminate health risk. Suppose the only direct effects of makeup were that you look better and have less money (you need to buy the makeup after all); if you have the time and money what reason is there not to use it?

I guess you could say because many people think that those who wear make up don't love themselves enough.

I don't dislike makeup. I dislike the fact that so many choose to overuse it, like cologne for example.

Enough and it's cool but to much and OMG WHAT THE HELL IS THAT GET AWAY.

Ahem.

If you don't wear makeup, you better be a natural beauty.

makeup put to good use enhances natural features, not covers them. for example, mascara makes long eyelashes, a mark of beauty, stand out by making the lashes darker and straighter.

I think it's just when it's used incorrectly and overdone is when it is a problem.

i love make up. i think make up makes everyone look hot as hell. people who can do make up professionally are cool as hell. being able to make someone's face look totally different with make up is so cool to me, that is definitely a talent. make up is art, and anyone who says otherwise can suck my weenie.

wearing make up doesn't make you fake!! if anything it enhances your personality, because you know what you want to look like and you take the steps every day to be who you want to be. that's really cool, you go through all that work because you know what you want and how to get it. hell yeah. female empowerment.

i myself don't wear any make up, though. the only reason i ever frown upon make up is because it's SO MUCH work to put on in the morning, and i am very impatient. (those of you who go through all that work in 5 in the morning to get ready, i salute you.) plus i have an outstanding eye phobia, and if anything gets even remotely near my eyes, i freak out. a lot. so i can't really wear it to begin with around the eyes.

people who frown upon make up because it makes girls "slutty" or makes them "hide their ugliness" are full of shit. how much make up your wear has NOTHING to do with how many people you sleep with. you can wear as much damn make up as you want, why does it matter to anyone else? they aren't putting it on for you, why do they care?? and doing your make up just right can make you look stunning! and if you don't wear it you're still stunning! everyone is beautiful! there aren't any ugly girls, there's just picky men (or picky girls; depends on what you're into)!! they shouldn't have any control on what you put on your body, whether it be make up or clothes. they don't know you, they don't know why you wear that make up, so they shouldn't have any right to judge you for it.

make up is amazing.

Because it's a waste of time and a waste of money. Usually, the main reason why people invest on it is for vanity's sake whether they admit it or not. And when you look like you invest too much on vanity, that can give some people a negative impression. Nothing wrong with being vain though. Everyone is.

People who declare that a girl doesn't need make-up or that they look good in tattered clothes and frizzy hair are lying unless the girl is nothing less than a glorious beauty. If you've ever been exposed to the corporate world (or heck, even the real world) then you'll understand that the more beautiful girls get treated better and get the "most" out of life. This is the harsh reality so let us all cake on harsh chemicals and god-knows-what on our faces as a counterattack.

Personally, I only wear make-up when going to places where it is required for me to wear it such as work or places where I might score free lunch. I also wear it when I feel vainmammamiaoohlalasdfghjkl;'. Most of the time though, I want to scare people and make them leave me alone so I lay off the prettifying stuff.
