Assassination Classroom's Lead CP from issue #32:

WSJ Issue #33 Previews:

Ginga Patrol Jako will be a 10 chapters series. This shouldn't come as a surprise because we all knew Akira Toriyama won't do another long running series.

Also, someone said the the volume sales are doing ok? Not really in that either. Each year for the past 3 or 4 years it has dropped over 1 MILLION total units sold a year. That is dreadful, and probably why the series is ending after this arc.

Selling 400k to 500k copies per volume is considered good. Yes the sales have dropped for Bleach, but in no way we can call selling an average of 500k copies a volume is bad.
Those series that are selling over a million copies a volume are the ones that are doing exceptionally great. Then you have One Piece which is on a level of its own selling an average of 3 million copies a volume.

A note about the rankings, no one is actually sure about the number of weeks the reader surveys take to get processed, whether it's 7 or 8 weeks. A recent debate was in the toc thread for mangahelpers.

http://mangahelpers.com/forum/showthread.php/2990676-Weekly-Shonen-Jump-2012-2013-Discussion-and-TOC-Talk-Part-1?p=3463531&highlight=#post3463531

There's a bunch of people that are pretty sure it's 7 weeks though.

On topic, I wonder how much longer World Trigger sits in the middle.

@op, thank you for this thread, it is nice to see where things fall. I am kinda bummed to see some of the series that I enjoy in the English SJ doing so poorly. It will be sad to see them ending. I like Barrage, and it ended abruptly, I see a similar fate heading for Cross Manage and I am kind of bummed.

There's a numbering mistake for the last five. You made two series share 13th place and another two share 14th.

Alright so this ToC is somewhat unusual. World Trigger rose to 6th place. I don't have a problem with it, since I enjoy the series so it's good to see it up there. It's also good seeing Beelzebub rise up a little. Still, the unusual thing is Kuroko's and Saiki's rankings are low comparing their recent rankings.

I need to mention that the next cancellation round will begin next week. So we will have a series ending in Issue #34 and another one ending in Issue #35. It's probably going to be Cross Manage and Koisuru Edison.

LOL, I was super tired at the time of typing. I fixed the numbering now.

I was most surprised with Kuroko. I feel that you're probably right about those two ending. Edison and Cross Manage.

And Bleach is still being cushioned by a few bottom dwellers. Also I think the sales for it are still alright. I'm interested in knowing the sale numbers for World Trigger when volume 2 comes out.

Yep you're right about Bleach. It's still selling fine.

Some people are already saying World Trigger will end because of volume 1's sales being less than 12k copies. They tend to forget that most new series sell like that. Kuroko's first volume sold less than 23k copies in its first week which is low, but look at it now . I still have hope for WT as its rankings are good, so hopefully the volume sales will increase. Also they already requested a second printing for volume 1 which means there is more demand to it than they originally thought.

Weekly Shounen Jump Rankings~?!!
I am overjoyed to see One Piece at the top, but that's quite expected of it.

Also Assassination Classroom, Shoukugeki no Soma, and Naruto are some of my favorite series to read so I'm also happy with their rankings.

So I read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, and it was a decent first chapter. Going into it, I didn't expect much, so I wasn't totally disappointed. As many might've predicted, this will feel more like Dr. Slump and early chapters of Dragon Ball than later chapters of DB.

I love how Toriyama gave the old man a Luffy like Straw Hat just like how Oda gave Luffy the Master Roshi mustache and beard for the Coliseum.

Oda gave Luffy a Master Roshi beard and Toriyama gave the old man a Luffy hat... Why do I not notice these things?

I was disappointed in the first chapter of Jako. Thought it would be funnier. Basically it was just 2 characters talking for 37 pages. I'll still read the next chapters to get a better idea and see the other characters. The drawings were nostalgic though.

I look forward to seeing what those new serializations, Kurokuroku and Hime Doll, look like. Hope they are Jump worthy.

Yeah despite Bleach's sales (which have been slowly rising, though nowhere near what they once were), the series is generally being torn apart in the rankings...

Saw a post in mangahelpers stating that One Piece will be absent in issue #35, the July 29th issue. True or not, I hope Oda is alright.

Yes it's true. People are freaking out about this? This looks like a regularly scheduled break to me.

Update: Bleach will be on a break from Issue #35 till Issue #40. It will be back in Issue #41 which will be released in Japan on September 9th.
