I went as Haruhi Suzumiya to Anime Expo in 2010 and I hated it, people came up to me suddenly hugging me. I never expected to get so much attention!

I've been cosplaying for at least six years now, and over the years I've had less and less time to do so because my life has become SUPER busy. I'm forcing myself to take Anime Boston weekend off because I missed it last year. Anyway, people I've cosplayed include Enma Ai from Hell Girl, Mana from Malice Mizer/ Moi dix Mois, Black Rock Shooter, Vampire Moka and regular Moka from Rosario + Vampire, Commander Jupiter (Team Galactic) from Pokemon. I'm currently working on a Gym leader Elesa cosplay (Pokemon) in hopes that it will be finished for AB. I have many in consideration too.

Only a few and honestly I'm not terribly good at it but so far I have cosplayed as:

Murrue Ramius -Gundam Seed
Deidara -Naruto
Konan -Naruto
Uotani Arisa -Fruits Basket
Makise Kurisu -Steins Gate

I would say Konan is the one I have been most happy with so far, even though (maybe because) it's not one of the ones that i have made myself. - I'm terrible at sewing things, although I was quite happy with my Gundam Seed cosplay after about the third revision I made to it.
(Un?)Fortunately it doesn't fit anymore (I lost a bit of weight)

I cosplayed as Yuna from FF10-2 for a anime/Halloween party. My first few cons I dressed up in my own rendition of lolita fashion.

I am relatively new to cosplay, but so far I have done Karkat (Homestuck), labcoat!Gordon Freeman (Half-Life), Twogami (Super Dangan Ronpa 2, my profile pic), and Gundam Tanaka (Super Dangan Ronpa 2). I have a couple other things planned for this year, going to try and put together Wulfric, one of the Pokemon X and Y Gym Leaders for a Gym Leader group at Colossal-con.

I've been cosplaying for quite some time now, though because of money or lack thereof most of the cosplays I did as a teen were closet-cosplays put together from Goodwill and I no longer have the stuff for most of them. In the past couple of years I've cosplayed Rarity from My Little Pony, Lithuania and fem!Canada from Hetalia, and my most successful cosplay to date besides my old Lina Inverse cosplay that I seriously want to remake someday, Mami Tomoe from Madoka Magica. And last night short of a couple of touchups here and there I just finished Saber from Fate/Stay Night and will be going as her for at least a day of Phoenix Comicon (plans for the other days include a casual-ish Princess Celestia and Mami again). Needless to say I'm kind of nervous about cosplaying Saber for a couple of reasons, but I think I'll be alright.

Cosplaying and cons are so much fun, you will love it. People are so nice there. (just stay away from creepers/sex offenders) Most of my friends came from conventioning too. ^^

Ive done a bit of cosplaying since I was 13 or 14. Cons: Sukoshicon Destin, Anime South, Fandomcon, Kamicon, Metrocon. Next con: AX.
Recently I've done Amy from Suisei no Gargantia, a Sylveon gijnka, Rainbow Dash gijinka, and Vocaloid Gakupo.
( Pics taken with crappy cellphone camera )

Next Im getting a new Sylveon hat and Ive also commissioned a Skitty gijinka romper and Vocaloid Sakine Meiko cosplay.

With cosplay I choose the commissioner wisely based on their portfolio and I always design the outfit on paper and make sure it's realistic to get the best of quality. I even search for the right colored fabric online for the commissioner to match to. Even the Necomimi ears are being custom made.

My Sylveon and RD gijinka cosplay were put together from found items near me and online. (except for the Sylveon hat)

Makeup was difficult to learn from the bottom up. Just recently I had gotten good at it. Eyeliner is hard. And I still cant put in colored contacts. :'[

Most important thing: being fit. lots of crunches and practicing the Love&Joy full dance. It's especially hard since I'm hypoglycemic.

If you have any Qs feel free to PM. :3

Zenkaikon 2014 was my first con, and I cosplayed as Shiro Fujimoto from Blue Exorcist. I had so much fun that I decided to register for AnimeNEXT 2014 in NJ and assemble costumes for my daughter and I as Ai Astin and Hampnie Hambart from Sunday without God. I hope to see you there!

I have cosplayed a total of two times, both at Anime North conventions in Toronto. The first time I went was in 2008 and I went as Misa from Death Note. It wasn't a good cosplay at all - no one really recognized me (or I at least wasn't good enough for pictures, haha.)

However, my most recent cosplay was this past weekend at Anime North 2014, and I went as Asuka Langley from Neon Genesis Evangelion (or Asuka Shikinami from Evangelion 3.33 to be technically correct). This costume looked WAY better than my Misa one from 2008, since people recognized me and liked it enough to take my photo.

I was also on the Crunchyroll live stream for a little bit on Sunday, some people might remember. Hahaha.
