I am paying for this service. I am paying monthly and I have been for the past year, almost. if I pay for a service I do not expect them to milk more money from me by using adverts, I pay TO REMOVE adverts, Not MOVE THEM. Banner ads I can stand (in small doses) but when I get battlefield ads pop out of page. Well that just annoys me. Please someone get back to me on why I'm seeing these. It's very disgruntling.

Sincerely, A paying customer.

Can you take a screenshot of this and post it here for me?
As far as I know we are not doing any adverts for that game atm.

Does it matter what the advert is for? I can't get back to you on the battlefield one, but now I'm just getting A Alienware and a mario ad. My point wasn't what it was advertising, but the fact itself it was advertising.

Providing a screenshot will help CR determine if the problem does indeed originate with them (and if so, how to fix it), or if you might have some kind of stealthy adware (that you might be completely unaware was installed during your internet wanderings) causing this.

Pretty much exactly what Lorreen said.

If I can see what you're getting with these advertisements, I can check with the Ads Team to see if it an Ad we are running.

If it is not an Ad we are running it could be you have some Malware on your machine that is recognizing you come to our site a lot and then popping up Ads here.

Let's clarify something: CR does normally have an ad on the home page, even for premium users. As noted on the premium membership comparison page (bold for emphasis):

You will not see any display ads except for direct sponsorships, which may include integrated or special promotions. Premium Members will never see video advertisements for the videos in their section.

These ads are normally not intrusive, but the one you reported appeared to be. What the staff is trying to determine is if that ad is actually coming from CR so they can correct any problem with it.

If you complaint is simply that CR often has an ad on the home page, that's they way it has been, probably always will be, and was covered in the terms of service (which many people don't read, but nonetheless agree to) when you signed up.

Much more helpful. Ancient, yes. My problem was with the fact there were ads. What put me over the edge was the pop out type ad. I just don't understand why a service I pay for would still need to run ads.
