At your school, do you or did you keep to yourself?
Have you been told you need friends by those people who "wanted to know you better" ask you questions about yourself, and you don't want to talk to a strange person about your personal life?

This happened to me quite recently, the girl thought I was lonely. I was not, I had never met her, but she persisted that I was lonely. She knew nothing about me, and I was like shut up! I have friends it only happens that I got in a class with none of my friends in it.

Yeah that made me mad, then I just ignored her, and made friends with an asian dude. Now whenever I get asked questions from people I don't know, I tend to be shyer than I was before that strange girl questioned me.

Me>>>>
pretend not to care

I am wondering if this ever happened to you?

Its never really happened to me specifically...well it did. BUT only because those people lived around my area and I was curious if we went to the same school or not therefore I asked them what school they went to and they asked me. I hope they didn't feel uncomfortable talking about that though... Anyways, most people, when asking to "narrow down my location" I honestly don't care. I mean, as long as they don't get my address, they probably won't be able to stalk me and besides, those people that ask me, their all long term online friends that I trust. Maybe its because no one online has betrayed me before so I tend to trust people...

But since you're asking about total strangers, I don't tell them. I mean, to not be rude, I maybe say "BC" or something, but nothing to narrow down my location too much. I mean, I don't really know their reasons for their curiosity. o.o

Nice job OP!

What are you a socially maladjusted shut in?The girl offered out her hand in friendship and you slapped it away.It was obvious that by the questions she was asking, she was trying to make small talk and see if you two had anything in common.

it happened to me many times, cause they thought im lonely, im just listening to music and playing on my psp...........

last week it happened again, when a new teacher, go out in the field, i was lying there then he suddenly ask me stupid questions about my life......... at first i didn't notice him talking until i lower down the volume of the psp....
he was saying things a kid couldn't understand, when i heard him asking me what was my age, i answered him i
13, then he suddenly shut his mouth up, i thought he was going to scold me for skipping PE class, but he suddenly said, "you're too young to be out alone".......... then i got irritated by him so i walked away............

people in our school are senseless specially old people, they treat 7th graders as kids!!

The 9th graders in my high school are so mature that they smear feces all over the bathroom walls. Now with that level of maturity that the freshmen show, there is a high probability that 7th graders are far worse than they are.

7th graders are flat out immature, there's no denying it,don't think too highly of yourself.

@Hawker - Yup, I have to agree, they are pretty immature these days, I think I was a bit immature like that, but I say that I am a good student, and wasn't like some other people...since I don't bother people and show off, and stayed quiet...>.<

@imzackthe3 - In the U.S. the kids are really immature, every year is getting worse...getting pretty irritating and 7th graders are kids, the age...

& And the topic isn't about immaturity >.<

But yeah, I agree with the 1st two posts, I am really really, shy and quiet with a whole bunch of people who I don't really know well, making it kinda hard for me to communicate sometimes >.< But with friends, I am the totally opposite. It's pretty scary for me when people ask me some random questions like "Do you have a boyfriend?" WTH!?! I don't really know you well but, no! I don't have a boyfriend! Never did! And those were mostly girls asking me that, which is pretty random o_o
