A few days ago, at least for me, my RSS feed from Crunchyroll for news articles has switched from just showing the beginning of the article ("before the jump," you could say) with a thumbnail to showing the full article for each and every article. As some of the articles can be long and some of them can contain dozens of images, it is kind of a chore to scroll past them in my feed aggregator. I would appreciate it if Crunchyroll could return to its original format for RSS feeds with a short introductory paragraph and a thumbnail from the article for each feed item, and I imagine others like me would appreciate it as well.

Sorry this change affected you, but our basic RSS feed now follows the standard of including the 'before the jump' short-text in the description field of the RSS transport (which it used to, as well), but now also includes the full content of the article in the content:encoded field of the transport.

It is up to each RSS reader to determine which it wants to read from, and unfortunately in your case it sounds like it prefers the full body of content. This change will likely be sticking around for some time, we apologize for any inconvenience.
