What story, game, live action, novel, comic, etc, would you love to see as an anime?

i.e.

Name: Ace Attorney.

Format it's from: Game.

Why it should be an Anime: Simply awesome stories and it'd be so easy to animate based off their character designs.

Best moment to be animated: The turnabout in each case, hearing the iconic music and seeing the villains alibi unfold as well as their composure.

Name: Countrouble.

Format it's from: Manga.

Why it should be an Anime: A fantastic comedy that deserves a series, one of the funniest series since Ouran.

Best moment to be animated: The Fragrance chapter & the camp chapter, they are hilarious segments. Also the 1st few uses of magic, where it backfires so badly.

Anything non-fictional that doesn't concern WWII, would probably be the most radical possible concept for an anime.

A webcomic that I just spent the last 16 hours straight reading when I found it today (or actually yesterday into today)

Misfile

http://www.misfile.com/

That webcomic has HUGE potential for a being an awesome anime!

If we're including things that aren't even Japanese in origin, then Paper Eleven.

It'd work best as a short (5-6 minute) animation per chapter since its construction is inherently important.

But animated, it'd literally be unlike anything I've seen since Serial Experiments Lain.

Iliad and The Odyssey.

There's an anime based on Shakespeare (Romeo X Juliet), an anime based on Arabian tales (Magi), and an anime based on Chinese history (Saiunkoku)...

But I haven't come across an anime that's based on Greek literature yet... (or if someone knows one, please let me know).

Iliad and The Odyssey.

That... could be pretty damn amazing. As long as the aesthetics didn't clash horribly.

Saint Seiya.

But more seriously, I'm told Heroic Age is a futuristic mecha based on Greek mythology.

Thanks!

Cage of Eden

Manga

I might just be a super fanboy of the series, but probably the number one manga on my list that NEEDS to be an anime. Not sure how many others liked it, but just whenever the main character saved the day (there were many), no matter how cliche, I just always got chills. Plus the "things" they encounter/fight are just as, if not more, terrifying than AoT's Titans. I would REALLY want the studio who's doing Attack On Titan to animate it though. As much as I love AoT, CoE is still my number one.... NEEDS TO BE AN ANIME!!!

Best parts that I want to see animated are just all the times they encounter the new "monster" of the arc.... uggghhh getting chills just thinking about it

...phew, alright sorry... fanboy rant... i'm good...

Nice topic. I actually had a hard time coming up with something. I could only think of something along the lines of the current world you know being erased.

Name: Lone Wolf & Cub
Source: Manga
Why: A fantastic story about a ronin & his son searching for vengance. I'm amazed it hasn't been made into an anime yet. It is a highly respected series and beautifully drawn.

Name: Sandman
Source: Comics
Why: A fantastic, layered story written by Neil Gaiman. I bet Satoshi Kon would have loved making this one.

Name: Crossover (Cassandra Kresnov)
Source: Books, trilogy written by Joel Shepherd
Why: Interesting SF story about an android that defects to the other side in a galactic battle. The story may be a bit heavy in politics, but it could be toned down a bit. Kresnov is a great, kick-ass character.

I could go on, but 3 is good to start.

Name: Escape Velocity: Nova

Format: Game

Why it should be animated: It's about spaceships, aliens, war, and the main character becoming the most powerful being in the universe. It's mostly you flying around and shooting crap, but most of the story takes place visual novel-style, with each alien government being a different mission route you can take. Anyway, I just want spaceship sci-fi tech porn basically lol, along with a good story to back it up. Haven't seen a proper anime in space before neutral colonies start rebelling and prototype mechs come out of nowhere lol

Best part to animate: Any spaceship with weapons

Oh maybe it's better as just an obscure game though ;_; I can see them using too much 3d already
