Looking for Japanese/Chinese war-based manga.

I've been following Kingdom for a bit and it's literally the only thing I ever read. Now that I'm following its releases it's terrible waiting for those new chapters. If you guys know an anime that can fit its shoes while I wait for new chapters then I'd be extremely grateful.

So war themed, mature, seinen, very slow to no romantic developments, and a bit of violence will be nice? But I know that's a bit too much, so you don't have to restrict yourself to that. I'll check out any suggestions.

Note - I've read:
- Kingdom
- Ravages of Time
- Nobunaga's Chef
- Ruler of the Land
- Vinland Saga
- Blood and Steel
- Historie
- Feng Shen Ji
- Sidooh
- Vagabond
- Shigurui
- Hana no Keiji

So yeah something along those lines, but full scale war scenes like Kingdom would be amazing. Thanks!

It's neither but Korean, but I second Uncrowned_Otaku: read Ares. IMHO it's the best manga (er, manhwa) on the subject of war.

That one reminded me of Samurai Champloo when I first checked it out. I wasn't that into it at the time (was on a manga app on phone) but I'll definitely run through it again.

If you're interested in the same genre feel free to have a gander at any of my mentioned manga titles, I can vouch for all of them : )

I read two of those (The Ravages of Time and Vinland Saga) and hold them in high regard. I think I also looked once into Feng Shen Ji or Sidooh but didn't like it. I long considered but couldn't yet commit to dive into Vagabond, and right now I'm considering Kingdom (see its thread).

I just remembered another: Sengoku. Although it's short and possibly unfinished, it is interesting for a new twist on trying for realism, also in the weird art.

Looking for a delinquent/yanki/yakuza manga. Romance in it would be a plus. But no shoujo or josei.
The manga's which I enjoyed that are similar to what I'm looking for are the following:
Angel Densetsu, Cromartie High School, Great Teacher Onizuka, Salaryman Kintaro, Sakigake Otokojuku, School Rumble, Crows series, Slam Dunk, Kyo kara ore wa!, Bad Company, GTO Shonan 14 days, Holyland, Hinamatsuri, Ocha Nigosu

It would be great if the characters were adults, but I'm ok with a school environment too.

I was hoping that I could get some manga recommendations ^.^
I'm a novice manga reader, having only been reading Nana and Shingeki no kyojin.
I'd really love to start reading manga on a regular basis, so I'd love some recommendations.

I usually read a lot of young adult novels (Hunger Games, Divergent trilogy, Harry Potter, Twilight...=-X) and tend to prefer girly anime but usually with serious themes. My two favorite anime are Chuunibyou Demo Koi Ga Shitai and Nana.
I've found it more difficult to read manga of anime that I've already watched because the mystery is gone. =-(

What I like: Love, comedy, dystopias, drama, some paranormal
Don't like: mecha, main character who is suddenly super powerful for no reason or doing of his own, any sort of battling anime/manga where the character goes and fights something/one different every episode/chapter/volume.

I'm trying to think of every little thing that I can to put in here but I think Im running out of things to say =-P
Thanks so so much in advance, I really appreciate any recommendations ^.^

Have you tried Bride of the Water God? The art is beautiful. The storyline revolves around a girl who is sacrificed to appease a water god during a period of drought. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bride_of_the_Water_God

Hey guys i picked up some manga lately and realized i enjoy it more than anime, so i need some recomendations ^.^

I haven't been through a lot of genree's yet, so i'm not sure what i want, but good art is a nice start. A finnished one rather than ongoing, is also preferable.
I have only read around 10 mangas (all ongoing), and Aku no hana is by far my favorite, but Kimi no todoke is the closest to it. While i do like shoujo/romance a lot, i want something twisted and dark like Aku no hana more. I want something impactfull. Feel free to recomend romance/shoujo though.

Other ones i enjoyed;
Yamada-kun and the seven witches is pretty damn good, but it annoys me that it didn't end where i wanted it to.
Watashi ni xx Shinasai! being the second shoujo manga i ever laid my eyes on, i think it's really good, but overexagurated to the skies with annoying art
Kuroko no basket: Over average shounen but still just a shounen
Shingeki no kyojin: Really good

What i definetely don't want is meccha, ecchi and war mangas.

Clever and intellectual character interaction with mindgames is probably what i want most of all though ^^
Interaction > plot

Don't recomend me Naruto or One piece x(

Can anyone recommend me some shorter series?

The problem with manga for me is I end up losing interest after a few volumes and then it takes a lot of effort to get back into it. I HAVE read longer series before but the series has to really, really hook me.

I like pretty much anything with a good story and good characters. I am a fan of your typical shonen, harem or whatever. I just want the plot and characters to be good.

Thanks (:
