Edit:My anger made me momentarily retarded, the title should be Manga that's been horribly adapted
As the title suggests, we post manga that's been ruined by anime adapations. I'll start.

I love this manga to death and I had really high expectations for the anime then it happened.
-Anime original end
-Changing the plot dramatically
-QUALITY shots where characters have really big teeth
-Alibaba looked like a pathetic beta (He was pretty beta in the manga as well but it was exaggerated in the anime)
-Bad animation for the most part. Does anybody remember Morgiannas dancing scene? yeah it was horrible

A-1 pictures (who was also responsible for the horrible adaption of the SAO and Blue exorcist anime) even had the audacity to announce season 2 after butchering it so bad. Being a Magi fan is suffering

The first Yozakura Quartet anime managed to take all the fun and interesting things out of the source material and threw them away.

Mahou Sensei Negima

The manga pushed the Harem aspect so far into the background after the 1st arc and became a damn fine action manga, but all the anime adaptions completely focus on the harem and the action(what little there is) is done absolutely horribly. Negima deserves a fantastic anime adaption and it will never get it

Manga is usually better than the anime adaptation, just quality-wise.
Such as Aku no Hana.

Ao no Exorcist

although I will admit the animation was pretty and the music was fabulous.

Agreed here. First few episodes had promise, then decided to go down a filler route later on for whatever reasons. *sigh*
Oh and I also agree with Magi. I've been reading the manga and it doesn't work out right at all especially in the second half. Well, luckily I did watch the anime before reading the manga so it wasn't as terrible as I had thought. After reading the manga though, the comedy is much better than its anime adaptation imo.

Hopefully The World Only God Knows doesn't get to ruin by season 3 because they skipped a lot of stuff....

Soul Eater: because they made up some freakingly childish ending. "Fist of courage" or whatever sucked as a final blow.

Pandora Hearts: after a certain point in the plot, the anime decided to take a different turn towards a different plot. Since I saw the anime first, this made it really difficult to continue the story on manga. (I guess that's just me? )

D. Gray Man: Reading the manga, I thought it to be quite dark during certain scenarios but the anime adaptation made the "grim" atmosphere consistent throughout the series that it made it look boring.

That's all I can think of the top of my head.

I've always hated the anime-original ending of Beelzebub. Everything before that was pretty good for me.

I thought the Magi anime was pretty good. An anime is rarely going to live up to the source material, especially a made for tv anime. That being said, Yumekui Merry had a shit anime original ending.

Yeah Beelzebub started out as a decent adaptation ,and while the manga becomes slightly less thuggish over the course of the series as people actually grow bonds, the anime goes overboard and just becomes silly.

...

I'd say the Umineko no naku koro ni anime drops the ball quite a bit, but to be fair the ball is fairly heavy. It was adapted from a Visual Novel originally but the manga adaptation is pretty darn good. The biggest problem is the story is too long, complex, and convoluted to actually condense it in to anything other than a long running anime, and its not the type of show that would do well as a long running show. So they tried to condense about half the series into like 24 episodes iirc, and it ended up a bit like swiss cheese. To put it into perspective the manga are highly condensed version of the Visual Novels, and the entire series in manga form will probably end up condensed in about the size of 16 manga omnibuses. Take that condensing even further into the anime and it ends up being even more wtf than the story is to begin with. This is especially true as the story is set up for you to figure out what happened and never truly fully spells it out for you, so with much missing it becomes rather confusing to someone not already familiar with it. Its a shame because some of the anime is done well its just missing, well, 90% of everything you need to know.
