The Angel Sanctuary OVA's are easily some of the worst... THINGS... I have ever seen on screen... Especially with the dub, where the only member of the english cast who was even TRYING was Crispin Freeman... Angel Sanctuary is a train wreck.
The animation is terrible, the art style turns out awful, the story cuts off before anything even HAPPENS...

Which is a shame since the manga is one of the best I have ever read.

Gantz is probably one of the worst anime adaptions i can think of. The problem with ongoing manga becoming anime in a one or two season series is that they never have enough room to cover all the best stuff in the manga and they make up their own endings. Gantz as an anime fell flat because a lot of the best characters and storylines just were not in it. And the ending was pointless.

And basically any manga adaption that had only one season. It's always made worse because they dwell so much on the early chapters and half to three quarters of the series barely moves the story then they try to cram a bunch of stuff into the last 2-3 episodes.

Because it's my opinion. Sometimes, a copy and paste of a story into another medium isn't what I want to see. That's why they are called adaptations, not copy & pastes. While Brotherhood is good, it's just like the manga, and I'd rather read the manga in that regard. With the 2003 series, it's something different that I can enjoy. Again, it's just my opinion.

However, season 2 (from this season, only 4 episodes so far) is redeeming the anime's name. The animation is not CGI anymore and it's pretty good! Also some of the story arcs that they skipped in the first season are going to be accommodated into season 2. ^-^

Personally i still enjoyed season one.. a lot actually, this coming from a guy with around 500 animes under his belt.
I definitely acknowledge its weaknesses but i still felt the authors strengths as a writer.

It really sounds like i should read the manga though i had no idea so much was left out to a point they were placing stuff in S2.

Imo the anime was good, until they made the semi-ending. Which was awfull. But I liked the anime more because it was more fun, the sounds added to the hilarity and made it an amazing show. Althought I agree they could have followed the manga more, but It was okay. I 'm really hoping for it to continue or atleast a follow up which ignores the ending of the anime and just continue the anime and follow manga more.

The minute Moka spoke in the anime of Rosario + Vampire, I was done. Her transformed voice was awesome but otherwise I wanted to stab my ear drums.

Possibly Elfen Lied.

Characters are left out.

Important characters are downgraded to comedic relief.

Characters that live get killed off

Events are left out

in the end, nothing is resolved, and ends on a cliff-hanger.

So,when you watched the anime, and just the anime, it's like it served no purpose for the story. It wasn't bad. The anime got me into the manga. But, it was kinda lackluster when you finally see the manga.
