This song has resonated with me for far too long; actually the first song I memorized the lyrics to, all those years ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwDlcx3HWAU

Blind Guardian are great. Funny enough, reading your post reminded me of a different song of theirs, with a somewhat similar subject matter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5f1TkJUpwM
So I found it amusing when I followed your link and found a Blind Guardian song I hadn't heard before.

Yes! That's another good one! Although, all their songs are good in my opinion... that's why they're my favourite band! Tool is a close second.

Tool are also great, though I can't say I've listened to most of their stuff. I've seen both those bands live though, and they both put on good shows. Tool's stage show was especially crazy, they had contortionists doing all sorts of crazy stuff.

Was disappointed though at the Tool concert when I saw the guy in front of me had a Rammstein t-shirt with a tour date on the back that showed they'd been at the venue a week earlier. I was like, "My favorite band (at that time, anyway) was here last week, and I'm here now, this sucks!"

Not that being at a Tool concert can really suck all that much. I finally got to see Rammstein like 15 years later though, so it's all good now.

Yeah I've missed quite a few events I would have liked to go to. I know that feel. I missed Sonata Arctica the last time they were in town I was pretty sadfaced. I did however get to see Blind Guardian live, that was great. I'd love to see Tool but I haven't had the chance. My knowledge of Rammstein is pretty limited. A couple of my friends are big fans and they told me about the show they went to. It sounded like it was a pretty crazy and spectacular show though.

This song right here describes me and my life pretty well right now. I listen to it every night before I get off the computer to get ready for bed. It calms me and my mind down to get ready for sleep.
