I've been using Crunchyroll's anime service for about half a year now, and have hardly run into any major problems until recently. The main problem that I keep encountering is that shows will stop playing at random intervals. The video isn't pausing, it just stops, and won't play unless I refresh. Within a few seconds it again, stops randomly. This problem doesn't repeat for every episode of anime I try to watch, but it seems to appear every other episode that I try to watch. I've hardly had any problems streaming 1080p shows in the past on this site, and I can watch 1080p videos easily on other sites like YouTube. I try to make sure that I only have my show open in my window when I watch, so I don't think I'm taxing my internet connection when I watch my shows. Is this just a problem with the video player? I have no clue why this happens, but it really takes away from the atmosphere a show is building when it stops randomly in a scene and throughout the rest of the video. Has anyone else experienced problems like this one when they watch? Any suggestions/solutions?

Yes, i'm facing same problems and i'm not even a premium member, so this happens on SD to me. As i can say, there is only one suggestion around: changing the DNS settings

https://store.opendns.com/setup/
http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/

Now, i don't know how this is going to fix anything, because it's just, well, DNS, but there are rumors it helps sometimes. And sometimes not.
Personally, i think it's just a bandwidth issue maybe in combination with short buffering by the player. Best i can do right now is choosing a "good" daytime, when the servers aren't busy.

hello Track1One!
Sorry to hear about your performance problems. The internet is held together by bubblegum and hope, so I can only refer you to the general help forum for assistance.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=video

DNS can have some bearing on your performance, but please do a skim of the T/S steps for video.

We are also always available for contact via
