I agree, it could have ended right there after episode 3. Wonderful tears streaming down my face episode but what will happen next?

No idea, but I'm keen to find out. It's not often you see someone get Ned-Starked.

I really like these character designs too. They're very interesting.

I totally agree! I have never cried so much during a 3rd episode of a show. Not even Madoka! (Though, to be fair, with Madoka it wasn't so much tears as WTF?????) I saw this one coming from mid-episode, but still didn't expect it to happen so soon...

I'm guessing that Valley of Death is the first novel, so now we move on to the next novel's story. If this anime can deliver even one more arc this good in a season, it will be impressive. In my personal ranking, after the first two episodes, Sw/oG was sitting in 14th place for the season, barely an afterthought. (I literally had to edit the post I made on the site where I posted my list after the fact to add it in. I'd forgotten that I was watching it making the list.) This week's ranking puts it at #2. Ai buried all shows except for the cute-girls-doing-cute-things-with-airsoft-guns.

Indeed, if the show hasn't peaked too early and can keep it up for another 10 episodes then this is one I could buy for sure. Beautiful art and very emotional stuff. Will have to see what extras it comes with.

Very glad Crunchyroll picked it up, one of my summer favorites too so far. C3 is ver good too, love Yura and Sonora!

for me, I wouldn't rank C3 that high (imo KINMOZA is the better moe show but that's just me )

Sunday is currently at the top of my list and I don't really see that changing unless they really goof up the show somehow, but after these three episodes, I don't expect that to happen.

if this series stays as good as it's been, it's definitely going to be a buy for me.

Hmm, I'm actually somewhat interested now. It'll depend on how far the next few episodes go but this could be one of the few series I may purchase after the season ends.

I am absolutely...well, just really intercited (interested + excited) to see what they do with this going forward. Honestly felt like the whole thing could have ended there. Heck, I was watching those credits scroll and was like, wait, is this just a 3 episode OVA? Man, oh man, this should be sooo good going forward.

EDIT: And, my gosh, the slow motion fight scene animation....that was incredible animation work. Some of the best I've ever seen, I think.
