Looks like CR is working hard to get licenses for the other regions. It's good to see fellow anime lovers not being left out!

I really wish CR would stop with all these 3 minute per episode anime.

So because you don't like something, it should be done away with?

It isn't as if CR passes over a full length series in favor of these.

Judging how these never show up in "popular" on any of the apps nobody else does either.

YAY! Now this summer season will be the season where I get to watch more than 5 anime. (only saw 3 in the Winter and 5 in the Spring season).

I have the anime page open at the moment, the "popular" tab selected, and Recorder and Randsell is listed in the 5th row, 3rd column, between Gintama and Saint Seiya Omega. Senyu ,AIURA, and Sparrow's Hotel are listed further down the page.

That aside, "not popular" isn't equivalent to "nobody's watching".

"Even"? That was one of the few North America only simulcasts that Crunchyroll has had for the past year. You were expecting Middle East licensing for a series that is not licensed to the UK or Australia?

And, yes, if I lived in the Middle East, except maybe Turkey, I wouldn't have an ongoing subscription to Crunchyroll. I'd watch the occasional series on free streaming, maybe with the occasional single month subscription to catch up without ads.

On the other hand, "popular" is dominated by free member views, while Crunchyroll's revenues are dominated by subscribers. Crunchyroll has been streaming them for long enough that we can be confident that the royalties from the actual views of the shows are enough on average to cover their license fee and streaming overheads, so they are self-funding based on those who do watch them..

I also agree that your sense of bishounen is... warped. Unless I'm mistaken, it means pretty boy. And the pic for gifu dodo does not suggest that.
Except that is exactly how pretty boy characters are drawn. You do understand that it is pretty boys to Japanese women, not to us men?

Even so. How exactly are you sure about what Japanese women consider pretty? Maybe it's because i'm a dude like you pointed out, but I don't see it. It's not even aesthetically pleasing to me.

That's how the bishies are typically drawn in the manga for josei magazines. Since those magazines make or lose money based on how many Japanese women buy them, I trust them to know.,

Whether you find bishies aesthetically pleasing is an entirely different subject than whether they look like bishies.
