Yes I do rewatch. It's one of my favorite things to do and probably spend half my anime watching time at least rewatching. I've rewatched some series up to 10 times. I like rewatching long shows(Naruto, One Piece, etc), comedy, sports, and SoL the most. Dramas aren't as good the second time so I usually stay away from those.

I think I started rewatching anime when I couldn't find any new ones to watch, partly because I had already watched everything that looked interesting to me and reading reviews for shows really made me wonder whether I was going to enjoy it or be wasting my time. So I ended up not watching barely any new anime except for airing shows for like a year while I rewatched my favorites. Because why watch a new anime that I may not like when I can rewatch a show I know I like. I can also tailor my experience. Watch a show I know makes me laugh when I want to laugh, a calming SoL when I want to relax, etc.

I've still got tons to actually watch (my queue has like 20 series that I want to watch still), so I don't do much rewatching. I do still buy the stuff on DVD/Blu Ray.

I did start rewatching ef - A Tale of Memories, but I really dig the story and the art style just draws me into it. That and Angel Beats are the only two series I've rewatched, that aren't straight comedies.

And I watched Air a few times because I just didn't get it the first time I saw it lol.

I know that there are plenty out there who can and do re-watch anime all the time.

However...with me...I just can't personally justify spending valuable watching time on something that I've already seen and already know what's going to happen unless it's been a great deal of time since I've seen it and the details are so foggy that it's almost like watching it new again.

I just can't re-watch a series (or movie, or anything) if I still remember all the details.

There have been times that I've re-watched episodes or sections of episodes to re-create a feels though that I got from that episode specifically though. I tend to experience a strange, almost orgasmic in nature feeling (call me weird for chosen words) when I deploy tears at an emotionally charged scene in anime. It's why I get soundtracks to my favorite emotional anime moments and have a specific playlist. I'll play the song and play out the scene in my head...giving myself that "feeling".

Sorry, had an otaku moment there. Anyways...how about you guys? How do you feel about re-watching a show? Can you do it immediately? Do you need to wait? Do you do it at all? Hit it and quit it? What's the most amount of times you've ever re-watched an anime in full from beginning to end?

I really don't have a problem rewatching anime. If it was very very good, it may take me awhile to get back to it (there are some exceptions). If I was merely happy with it and enjoyed it, there is also a chance I'll rewatch it in the future. All that being said, I've re-watched AKB0048 about 4-5 times this summer. For whatever reason it just sticks with me. I absolutely love the show.

The Ergo Proxy series I have seen twice, it's practically necessary in order to really understand the ins and outs of the story. Also, I have seen Akira so many times and yet I am still finding something interesting about it with every viewing.

I normally watch the sub first then I'll only re watch it in the English dub because I get to enjoy the animation and artwork that much more the second time, it's also interesting to see if it will be better or not, nowadays the quality of the dub is getting better and I like to watch it's quality grow.

There will be moments where a second watch will help me catch little things I haven't missed before and makes it exciting because I know the plot ahead of time so I can try and catch subtle reactions and blah blah. It's late... why am I still up...

I've re-watched a number of shows, but not as many as I'd like.

I've isolated myself so I don't get the required emotional stimuli from social interaction. Eastern entertainment provides more emotional stimuli than western entertainment, so that is why I can re-watch certain animes.

Yes!! I've lost count of the number of times i've re-watched Ouran Highschool Host Club and Fruits Basket, and I still laugh everytime. lol.
I'm currently re-watching Inuyasha right now. I love that show.
The only anime I have a hard time re-watching are ones with sad endings, I just can't do it to myself a second time.
