Appreciate all the help and quick responses you've given to me so far.

Its horrible and I'm getting very ticked off. I've done all the things the support center had me try (speed test, ping test, flash cache clear, browser history clear, switch browser, DNS change, etc...) and for a while I thought I had fixed the issue and just now I went back to watch more episodes of Attack on Titan and guess what? FREEEZE, STUDDER, FREEZE. What is going on CR?

This may sound trivial....start a video on crunchy, then minimize the browser window while still playing. Does the audio sound like its studdering, etc....? This is just a way to put flash player usage at minimum, therefore making it easier to see if flash player is problem or network. Maybe open task manager to see cpu%....it should be low with browser minimized....

I understand what you are getting at, but it's not a local issue. This is an issue with CR, and potentially ISPs.

Oh ok so flash not it...So where is the destination your tracert to cp150757.edgefcs.net...? Maybe change or (make isp secondary to primary) dns to one not in your area to get different cr server... Just throwing out some of things I did when I was having some issues.

I can't say for others but I already went through those steps with CR support and nothing had any beneficial effect.

The biggest problem is there is no clear factor, different episodes of various shows will perform completely differently and 1080p vs 480p has no effect either. It's like the CDN itself is dropping the client when it occurs.

Edit: Good example; Yesterday I went to watch Dog Days Ep 3, it was so laggy I couldn't possibly watch it. Today I tried again and it was perfectly fine. I have been trying to watch Ep 4 today as well, but it is just as bad as 3 was yesterday.

Interestingly, ep 5 was fine today, but 6 was no good.

Is the problem server migration?

Yeah this is pissing me off i'm getting ready to drop this service if the streams aren't fixed soon. It's been happening on the ps3 for some time now also it's why I barely use that app anymore.

@1000Needles: I JUST started having the same issue, except its with ONLY the Battle for Trost episodes. I ended up putting up a separate thread before I realized this thread was probably more suited for it.

My main issue is that those particular episodes just won't load, or they take a very long time. Going to any other resolution/definition doesn't do a damn thing. All other episodes work just fine. Just those particular episodes, 5-13.

Everything I've watched in the last week has straight up stopped for a few seconds multiple times.

EDIT: Episode I was just watching "ended" itself during the opening credits 30 seconds or so after I paused it when it started stuttering.

It's been pretty horrible the last couple weeks now. It's really been hit or miss. Tried to watch the latest Fate-kaleid or Day Break Illusion and the video would either just stop completely or stutter.....but then go to watch Ep. 7 of Watamote and it's fine. Crowds was impossible to watch.

Everything I'm seeing would be fixed if CR just buffered more of the episode, or even just let the entire thing load. That way we could start it up, pause, let it load, and then watch without any of these silly problems. Why they don't do it that way is beyond me unless they are afraid some people would find a way to download and share it......which if you do a simple Google search is kind of pointless right? There are several sites that "simulcast" and actually get quicker releases than CR.

I pay CR because it's a licensed site, not for the quality, because quality is the same elsewhere. When I'm forced to take other means to watch the exact same shows listed on CR, due to bad programming and/or infrastructure, that screams something needs to be done. I've been a paying member for almost 4 years, and watched probably more anime than is really healthy ^_^;;, and don't want to watch elsewhere unless forced to.

The short buffer is due to the way DRM in Adobe Flash works. Publishers expect their content to be protected (even if it is available elsewhere) so CR doesn't really have another option.

The only legitimate streaming I've ever seen of unprotected episodes was by NicoNico.com (and not of all series they simulcast). Frankly, I don't know how they got away with it. Even with that, some people still reported issues with their streams, so obviously it isn't a cure-all.

Ive been having the stutter/freeze issue still, and the random episode ending issue. Ive also used the support email and provided all info and never got a reply a few months back. Not sure what else to do.
