I also had a long hiatus. My job doesn't give me any real free time, and eventually time went on and I didn't care for it. I didn't start watching 'til I got bored and couldn't find anything else in the Xbox selection worth anything, so I decided to go through the anime selection, clicked on it, and here I am again.

hmmm, i've been watching anime all my life. just never knew it was anime until naruto came to fame and started to watch the subs the day after zabuza arc finished. aside from that, i stopped watching anime for like 2 months because i decided to be lazy for like 2 months and had to much school work to catch up on. i have stopped anime for like years at a time if that counts. the longest pause i had was for one piece, which took about 5 years for me to get back onto it.

What I remember is that I started watching anime again around 2009 with Cardcaptor Sakura (because I was very bored one day) and then later Tsubasa Chronicles. However, I took around about an 8 month break and started checking out mecha series like Code Geass. Then from there, I started watching anime seriously rather than just casually on TV like I did before during my childhood days with Yugioh GX.

I used to watch pokemon and digimon when I was 4-5, after a while it was Naruto that dragged me headfirst into anime

Angel Beats! , I was never that big into anime. I've had seen Death Note, Pokemon, Digimon, Naruto, and maybe a few others when I was young. The thought of watching anime was not necessarily new but I never got into the hobby immensely until my friend suggested something as I was really bored a few months ago which was angel beats and I cried a lot... the themes were really sad and made me reflect on my own life. This gave me the craving for more, I wanted more and by venturing out I found lots of animes and realized it's something bigger than I imagined.

Good to be back :3

It's almost scary how similar my situation was in contrast to yours.

I just got back into anime really recently, after about 3 and half years. I was super into it before, I was surprised how hard it was to get back into it, but yeah, just recently I started seeing a lot of talk on tumblr about Free! and Attack On Titan and I decided to give them a shot. Now here I am, dragged back into my anime, I don't think I'll be getting back out anytime soon.
