Back in olden days I really liked Robotech. Back in the 80's ir recorded every TV brodcast to VHS (which I still have actually). However, I did not really like anything else out there from the Anime world.

Fast forward to 2010 when a friend wanted me to watch all this strange stuff on YouTube he called AMV's. I saw this one based on ToraDora and knew I had to see that Anime. I think I finished the whole show in two days and then started look for more.

Durarara! I watched the dubbed version back when Adult Swim aired it. Still one of my favorites but I prefer the subtitled version now!

I would buy it if I could find Vol.1 on DVD for less than $65.00.

Free! Iwatobi Swim Club. I haven't watched anime nor read manga in about 10 years. After Elementary school my focused shifted to comics. However my bestfriend kept begging me to watch this show, and so I did. It's made me fall in love with anime all over again.
I was overwhelmed by anime in my younger days; if it wasn't Bleach or Naruto I wasn't interested in watching it, but now things have changed.

I never really reliezed when I was young that pokemon ect. was "anime" so In a way I never got in to it there, but once I tried to watch girls bravo and I was getting annoyed more at the website I used than anything... My friend (at the time my girlfriend) told me to watch Sword Art Online and I heard about Crunchyroll from her. Now I have watched about 8 different series and still try to make time to watch episodes between school and people using the computer and sleep. I could almost say Crunchyroll was what got me back into anime.

It was some time around 2008. Just watching Adult Swim at the time to see what new shows they were getting. Really, at this time I was slowly losing interest in anime. Toonami was pretty much gone by this point, and Adult Swim was mostly just showing really awful shows and less and less anime. However, I was never really anything more than a casual watcher of anime with whatever was on Cartoon Network through the years. I never expanded out of that at any point... till I caught Episode 1 of Code Geass... I was blown away! A few weeks later, around episode 4, I lost cable for a bit. I couldn't handle that! I needed to know what happens in this show! It became the first anime I ever marathoned (watch all of season one in probably 2 days) and was the first anime that I kept up with on a weekly basis (R2 was starting just as I was catching up with Season 1.) Since that point, I binged on more anime in the last five years than I ever did in the previous 10 probably triple. I still don't watch it as much as some other people, and I have been really busy lately that everything has fallen behind for me the last few months, but I expect to binge again to hopefully get even more involved in the genre. So much to see so little time. XD This is the main reason Code Geass is my favorite anime, though. Not just the story or characters, but because it got me actually invested in the anime fandom as a whole. Could never hate the series for that.

I had a little phase of getting out of it in middle school, so I want to say Full Metal Alchemist got me back into it.

I have to say, I really love Strawberry Panic, so I completely understand why it would interest you back into watching anime...

For me, it would definitely be Attack on Titan! For sure!

I loved Bleach in 2005 because a whole bunch of friends were reading the manga, but once sixth form was over I didn't watch much after that. Then I watched Samurai Champloo in 2009 and that led me to watch Cowboy Bebop, and the rest is history. Been obsessed ever since.
